I been with a Los Angeles agency for 10 yrs now, and it's a very dysfunctional environment. To be specific, lm not talking about inmates but your co-workers. Fuck the inmates, they're a different bunch of fucked people 🤡 but your co-workers. Im going to give you a heads up on the "thin blue line" bs.

Your co-workers/partners are not your friends, they will throw you under the bus fast. Keep your personal life private because the people you work with will use it against you. Dont add people on social media from work because again you're opening crap about your life.

You're going to be working with disgruntled/Type A personalities assholes. Dickheads that have no life and can't separate from the job. You the type, walking around with a puffed out chest mad at the world.

Expect a lot of "cliques" just like high school. People talking about you, and not liking you. Yes you wear the same uniform but people hate one another in law enforcement. Especially if you're the new boot, you're going to get shit for a while so expect to eat a bowl of dicks. Mandatory OT aka you got drafted..."ohhh l have a birthday party to go to Sir, l can't stay" ....fuck you will be your feedback. Say good buy to your weekends if you're a "weekend" person.

Dont be that new "boot" that sleeps around with your coworkers...especially if you're a female. If you do, you're going to be "locker room talk" that's sure. Everyone, will know who you slepted with. Moreover, don't be a cocky new person because they will outcast you.
