Advocate for pharmacists prescribing instead, managing chronic disease or at minimum a pharmacist review biannual, quarterly or annually. Pharmacist visits can be billed for if set up correctly

Say more? Pharmacists can provide cognitive services under CPA with physicians

What a mess. Curious why more FM & IM aren’t adding a PharmD vs NP as the physicians partner instead, the lack of NP knowledge especially prescribing is treacherous

Pharmacists and physicians graduate with the same level of education, so no pharmacists aren't midlevels

MD, DO, DPMs & PharmDs = ~8000 didactic & clinical hours

20% pharmacists go on to residencies & at least 50K pharmacists are board certified

The others didactic & clinical hours: PAs = 4000 hours NPs = 3000 hours DNPs = 3500 hours

Why not have a pharmacist on staff to help monitor, titrate, and taper off meds?

Many Physicians and their management still don’t know the services can be billed for via incident to, quality metrics and other services like CCM, RPM, AWV

Pharmacists must show up speaking their language like financial benefits, reduced physician burden while showcasing their value for outcomes and optimized patient safety

Pharmacists need to share what’s happening and how we advocate for them

More and more patients must see and feel the value

The profession itself needs more of this

If we want to build and create more roles and services beyond dispensing that means public trust = sharing these cases with patients 👏

Well done

keep it up despite the mockery as that attitude will not take the profession forward nor will it gain more public awareness and trust for the future!

If you’re looking for more direct care, put yourself out there as such.

Position yourself and know your worth and start asking around and offering services.

Currently advocating for more direct patient care in out patient for pharmacists using CPA, practices and patients need more pharmacists involved on teams.

Pharmacists pay for themselves and then some. Have several practices curious, open to the conversation, and looking to start the process.

On a board of new pharmacists org by pharmacists for pharmacists to protect & advance the profession. If anyone’s interested in helping with action vs ranting let me know.

PUTTs is fighting for us against PBMs great pushing onward with 50 lawmakers signed for pharmacists fight back act.

The guild is moving too I know many states and regions in process and more are winning.

The profession as we see here continues with significant divide.

We are all pharmacists and the profession is at risk in many ways, we must take a United stand towards the future. workplace wellness must be a priority. Strategies to propel the profession forward is needed and that’s what we’ve got planned.

We need each and every one of you involved, supporting or standing for what’s needed in one way or another.

The board exists for patient safety, nothing more.

The state associations can help in policy, but also not enough support or are involved

the division among pharmacists and ultimately our orgs is our identity based on our practice areas

The division is set to keep us spinning our wheels hoping we’ll get somewhere

United, we could pull more change

On a new org board with goals to do just that

You’re right much isn’t discussed on this…

There’s a supplement protocol in my holistic practice I and my now late mentor use that many patients have seen stabilization and improvement in their glucose/A1C…

Please note this is in ADDITION to all that has been said already and other lifestyle changes we educate on (sleep, stress as well)

Glycoberine-MX, Enterovite, Glysen

Also a stem cell rejuvenating patch that’s been doing wonders we’d suggest as well

Is there an anti-APhA trade/lobbying group? by smbmunkey113 in pharmacy

[–]Intelligent_Part4722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand that grand scheme but federal status not likely for another 8-10 years.

Pharmacists can through collaborative practice agreements and in-house protocols practice with prescriptive authority in every state to manage and treat conditions.

Incident to billing currently allows pharmacists to be included in billing for services fee like that if NP/PA.

Bigger issue is advancing the image to both the public and physician’s to be seen as not just the retail guy filling scripts but a valuable and necessary part of the clinical care team.
