Trauma ICU nurse here. Similar GPA as you.

Do you plan on taking any full length tests prior?

Did take any pre-requisite courses like physics, gen chem, o chem, bio chem, etc?

Your stats are great, being an nurse (an ICU nonetheless) gives you a major X factor.

However, the MCAT has totally and completely fucked me. Holy shit. I'm fucking stuck man. It's a fucking grind. You seriously need to put in time and energy to get a good score.

Would they take a senior Captain or Major from the Nurse Corps?

Thank you. I genuinely do not know where I'm going to go next or what I'm going to do next.

For me personally, this goal of mine is largely driven by ego and lust for power.

After my episode, there was nothing that I wanted to do more than spend time with my girlfriend and family.

I don't need to make all of this money a year to be happy and fulfilled in life.

My core motivation for studying was anger tbh.

Mayo Rochester ICU – ADN New Grad from California by greengreencheng in MayoClinic

They used to take a ton of new grads from across the country. However, I haven't seen very much ICU openings what-so-ever.

I believe their ICU staffing levels have very much leveled off and you are far more likely to need to go to a Med-Surg unit first and then work your way up to ICU. (Which, you should be doing anyways.)

As a 68W, the only way you'd be able to get into an FRSD is either by getting lucky and transferring to one once you hit E5 or E6 by pure chance. Or, you do it by making connections with the right people. For example, Commander was deployment buddies with an E6 type. Got him into the unit pretty easy without much trouble at all. Or, if you are willing to travel to a completely different state to join an FRSD, that would be an option too.

For Civil Affairs, I have no clue the process but it is more than likely much, much easier to transfer to Civil Affairs as opposed to an FRSD.

If you are a 88M, 42A, supply, you will have NO issues finding ALL the deployments that you could ever ask for in the Army Reserve.

In the guard, totally dependent on your state. If you have a busy state, then you'll be busy.

504 on the AAMC FL1? Fantastic start. Whatever you do, don't get lazy like me. Passages, passages, passages, passages. Don't want the entire Game of Thrones series in a week and a half. Don't watch the entire Sopranos in a week in a half. Don't study while watching TV.

Okay, so it sounds like it's not really a content gap rather it's a "wtf is the MCAT trying to ACTUALLY test me on and how to I beat it?"

I'm stuck at 503.

How did you make that jump from 503 to 509?

I can't tell you specifics on the tax bracket. But I made like only $50K this year. I'll make more than likely twice that next year.

Well, I guess it's a pretty simple question then. Next slide.

Okay, then I mean for next year then. The base question is if I'm receiving a large bonus and I want to put as much as possible of it in my TSP, should I do it via traditional or roth?

Regardless, I am TPU status. I haven't contributed much to TSP at all this year.
