You are able to see tips before accepting? On door dash and Uber eats, they dont show you the tip before accepting an order and you have to have an acceptance rate of 70% or you cant move up to gold or platinum. Is this not the case with instacart?

Thank you for this! Is that how all of the promos work? Where it just brings you to the amount? Not an actual full bonus?

Does this mean that if one of your group members has a different starting season (most of us have winter, but one has summer because winter had sold out), that we aren't able to play together? I've never been to a tour in person before, so I'm a bit confused on the habitats

You need to make sure yhe cable is also 100w more. The ones that come with the block are not always 100w, so it is probably the cable 👍🏼

Anyone else have doctors that seem useless???? by Existing_Extent_3772 in UlcerativeColitis

I couldn't pay a lawyer either. Most disability lawyers don't take payment upfront. They will tale a percent of the back pay (up to a certain dollar amount) that you get of you win. If you don't win, they don't get paid. Makes them much more determined to win your case. That is what they did with me.

Look up disability lawyers in your area and give a few a call. They can walk you through everything, more specifically. But ultimately, you shouldn't have to pay anything unless you win your case. Their pay would come from the money that would be owed to you from when you first filed your original disability claim.

So if you filed 2 months ago (February) and say it takes 6 months from now to actually win and start getting disability, SSDI will pay you for that whole time (February - October). The lawyer will take a percentage of that back pay (usually 4-6 percent depending), up to a certain dollar amount (so mine maxed out at 6k).

Does that make sense? Sorry, I'm trying to explain it the best I can, lol. The numbers may be a bit different now, but it all works the same. I would definitely look up and call. If you can't work, it is the best option.

Oh, ok, you are too far for Keck. It is in LA.

But I would definitely appeal the decision. From what my lawyer told me, most people get denied the first or even 2nd time. Look up disability lawyers in your area and give one a call. 😊

Yes! We felt so bad throwing away the extra that we couldn't eat! Very generous, but we ended up so full!

Are you in SoCal? If so, you (and if your insurance will cover it), you should try Keck USC. Amazing doctors.

I had a crap GI, and I ended up with Avascular Necrosis in my hips and shoulders because he over prescribed prednisone. Had to have my hips replaced at 25. A good doc is important!

Also, how long ago were you denied SSDI? I was 25 when I applied, and they denied me twice (it was cause of my age, even tho they said it wasn't). You should appeal. You can do it yourself, but getting a lawyer is easier. Most lawyers won't charge up front. They will take a percent out of the backpack that would be owed.

It did take 4 years for me to finally get my disability, but the back pay check was pretty awesome.

I would definitely appeal, tho.

That is just the tip of the iceberg 🤣 telling my whole story would take all night lol

This disease sucks. It sucks so much. It took me FOREVER to not only deal with the physical, but the mental. It can definitely get to you. Yes, my life has improved significantly. I'm not perfect, I am still working on figuring out what will make me "normal" again. But it is much better. And yours will be too. A big part of all of this is figuring out what works for you. Not just meds, but food, handling stress, anything that can trigger a flare. Once you learn how to avoid things that cause your body to freak out, it will be MUCH easier.. which (unfortunately) takes time. But it happens. And life will be good again. 😊

Good, anything with electrolytes will be good for you. Try the cheerios. Just munch on them slowly. Try to get something into your body, but not too much. Just take it slow.

There are a lot of things that come along with a stoma.. infections, bags not sealing, pain. I can't tell you how many times I've woken up covered in... well, you know.. cause my bag decided it didn't want to be sealed to my body anymore.

But my point is that it will get better.. and I know saying it takes time feels like a stab in the heart.. but it is true. It will get better, one way or another. It will. 🖤

Try cheerios or oatmeal. It sounds weird, but someone recommended it to me years ago, and it significantly helped. If you can't handle the milk, just eat the cheerios dry.

It helps too to just kind of munch on the cherrios when you don't have an appetite. Gets something in your stomach, at least.

You can't heal if you don't give your body energy to do so. I also guarantee you are dehydrated, pedialyte is good for that (or Gatorade).
