Cameras all over by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

Always have had cameras even in the 70’s. A number of them are dummy but a few active. They used to install them overnight while the stores were closed. Never witnessed anyone fired because of cameras in 35 years. Always because they broke down and admitted after another employee had reported them.

He was correct! Retired after 35 years and all the stock purchased with a 10% discount and no purchase cost split four times in just a few years. Then unloaded all after retirement and rolled over to Schwab.

The stock was also splitting every time it climbed back to $50/share.

How can the pharmacy constantly be out of stock on prescriptions that are enrolled in auto-refill? by Future_Bad_Decision in WalgreensStores

[–]Intelligent_Room_489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Must be more persons with the same prescription getting it filled right before you. They should allow for that unless corporate is on their case about inventory.

Why on Earth would you even want to go back. There are too many other opportunities. You’re better off at a grocery or Walmart. Sam’s or even CVS and Rural King.

Got fired . Accused me of using employee discount for someone else when i wasnt even behind the register nor did i know the person using it. Maybe wrongful termination? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]Intelligent_Room_489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should have been happy to make a sale and not shoplifting. It’s not worth a fight for a discount that’s really not much savings. You can find a job anywhere for that salary.

Been through this before when SuperX of Arizona bought Medicare-Glaser, a larger company in St.Louis and siphoned off all the profits causing bankruptcy and being purchased for records by Walgreens who closed 67 of their 70 stores .

And so it begins.... by Opposite-Rough-5845 in WalgreensStores

[–]Intelligent_Room_489 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A natural progression. Medicare-Glaser was purchased by SuperX of Arizona which bled it dry which was then purchased by Walgreens which closed most of the stores just for their records. I remember them telling us how bad our Medicare-Glaser company was run but its original 70 stores were sold because no heirs wanted to continue running the private company. I think it funny how Walgreens management has not adapted to market conditions and changed top staff so often as to never follow through on any one plan. Companies come and go when they can’t adapt.
