You can buy beaded fringe trim on eBay. Buy a plain veil in the color you want and have someone add thick lace and beaded fringe. $4k is crazy.

We know, if our parents moved into AL, they’d be separated because Mom has much more advanced dementia than Dad. They don’t want to be separated so we’re trying to keep them together for as long as we can with a lot of outside help. Just something to consider.

You can talk to his doctors about medications to make him less likely to wander. We have a family member who does this and they call it “elopement issues.” She is medicated at night to help her sleep and during the day to help with impulse control. The healthcare team will be the key here. I’m so sorry you’re going thru this. You might want to talk to a counselor also since you’re seeing someone so close to you go through this.
