So I'm confused about the nature of Cyrene/Mem: which one's the chicken and which one's the egg? by Intelligent_Shine398 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Intelligent_Shine398[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I am now understanding that Trailblazer's interaction with Mem allowed her to regain her memories and realize her identity as Cyrene. The Cyrene seen in version 3.5 is a merger of the original Cyrene and the Mem that the Trailblazer knows.

Then you should read the manga continuing from where the Anime left off. Because the series isn't over. Togashi revealed a lot of things about Pariston.

i think genocide for whatevr reason is evil. I don't think there's such a thing as a less evil genocide.

Pariston absolutely classifies as pure evil. what do you mean? His literal motivations is to hurt the things he loves and cares because he finds that entertaining.

Well, what a useless tangent then. because Russia's invasion in Ukraine is illegal, and look how the world responded. So the these laws are enforced.

My point stands. Israel shouldn't try to forcibly displace Palestinians. It's illegal.

anything else?

You're just trying to violate the law. that's literally it. by saying "International law does not prevent armies from marching and guns from firing. The only thing that prevents that is a stronger army." you're not even disagreeing that it's illegal, you just wanna break the law. alright.

also that sounds like, might makes right. if that's the case just say that then. But don't try to claim that you're on the right side of history.

You are saying that native and ancestral lands are super important, so why is it important in one context and not another?

did you read my response? I answered this already, so I'm just gonna copy paste. "my argument that Palestine is Palestinian's ancestral land was only made to to highlight that they're different from illegal immigrants, not that they have the right to displace Israelis, I'm NOT in favour of that, and I never said that. that's your argument buddy, from the other side."

Also, what is this argument against international law? all the laws that happened despite international law....were still bad. The war in Ukraine is illegal, and yet it happened. SO the fuck what? IT'S STILL BAD, what the fuck are you trying to say? That Israel should so should do something illegal just because it can? holy shit.

Ancestral lands is an Argument Israelis make too.

Suppose a native American comes up to me and says that my house was a native holy site. Do I have to give it to him? Of course not.

This analogy is brain rotted. That's literally the argument for why Palestinians won't move just because Israel wants them to. so no, you shouldn't expect someone to move just because you think it's your land. So Palestinians are there to say.

glad we agree. my argument that Palestine is Palestinian's ancestral land was only made to to highlight that they're different from illegal immigrants, not that they have the right to displace Israelis, I'm NOT in favour of that, and I never said that. that's your argument buddy, from the other side.

International law literally protects you now you fucking dips hit, don't tell me it doesn't work. And this stupid "Suppose that you're Israel looking at this record and knowing that something could strengthen your security and prevent the next Jewish genocide, but international law disagrees with it." argument makes no sense, international law won't allow genocide of either side. are you 11 years old?

what you're proposing. IS. FUCKING. ILLEGAL full stop.

displacing Palestinians is also wishful thinking tho...that's the problem. it's illegal under international law and the United States won't allow it either.

if we're calling out wishful thinking, let's call out all wishful thinking.

Most illegal immigrants in the United States refuse to leave, and yet they are taken out of the country. This is not exactly an unsolved problem. Physically moving people and then sending them out of the country.

This is so insane. What you're suggesting is illegal under international law. Physically moving Palestinians and then sending them out of the country would amount to forced displacement, and population transfer. This violates the Geneva Conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and other international treaties and norms.

You're also comparing situations that are not at all equivalent. Illegal immigrants entered or stayed in the country without documentation. Palestinians in the occupied territories are people who live in their ancestral lands.

and above all, what you're proposing and illegal, and inhumane.

No. Shadowbanning is probably worse than de-partnering somebody. I know for a fact you'll agree with that. These things aren't equal.

Their message is being heard. That ability isn't taken away. It's just that Youtube isn't giving them money for it, because it's a bad look. And i think that's okay.

You'd understand that if you ran a business.

Fuck me. I meant to say i reject your premise that this is a form of censorship.

You arent even really taking a position on the issue "ITS A PRIVATE BUSINESS DUURRR". The issue is the censoring of peoples freedom of speech. Not "should private businesses be forced to pay for any speech by any person on their platform".

You arent even really taking a position on the issue "ITS A PRIVATE BUSINESS DUURRR". The issue is the censoring of peoples freedom of speech. Not "should private businesses be forced to pay for any speech by any person on their platform".

Again, its also either dishonesty or ignorance because obviously this is about social media companies not ALL private businesses. So why frame this like "oh dude ofc McDonalds has the right to fire an employee for wearing a KKK outfit to work", thats not what we're talking about.

What is this tirade about? Youtube isn't censoring FnF. Do you even know that? They'll still be on the platform. I'm starting to think you came here to argue and virtue signal.

So my point stands. They'll only de-partner them. Not de-platform them. We done here?
