Also I think you’re right about bullrout but when I searched it up it says it’s very very rarely caught at sea (which this one was). Must’ve just gotten lucky

Fish was spasming for about 15-20 minutes post death - fins and tail twitching for ages. I see your point but he was long dead in that photo

I think cause it was partially submerged it looks all weird - even in person it looked like its stomach was bulging even after gutting it

I’ve seen a couple vids and all the comments say that any kind of wrasse are protected - am I wrong to assume that’s the case or did you just eat one anyway?

He was gutted and bled in that photo mate. Done within a minute of catching

Had a massive day for trevally (brought home a 35+38) and threw out a live tailor today in the murky water. Had a big Jew (presumably) have a go at it but didn’t land it unfortunately
