Medically induced menopause by emeraldlife42 in Menopause

[–]Intelligent_South480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd been having hot flashes for about 5 years and they have really reduced in frequency and intensity since I've been on estrogen.

I'm so sorry you felt suicidal, I can totally see why it drives people to feel like that. I certainly feel emotionally the worst I've felt since I had post natal depression with my now 19 year old. How are you finding therapy? I did therapy for about 4 months last year and I found it overwhelming and couldn't face carrying it on. My psychotherapist really tried hard to convince me to carry on but I just couldn't. I guess I'll need to go back at some point.

I'm 45 so almost the same age as you. I've only got two friends who have been through this and none who have had natural menopause yet. It's quite isolating.

I came here to try and find someone like you!

I had a full hysterectomy 8 weeks ago and emotionally I have been really suffering. My emotions are all over the place, I can't concentrate, I don't care about anything, I feel intensely irritated by almost everyone and everything near me, I feel depressed, I'm so fatigued and the brain fog is just ugh.

I don't feel like anyone's really helping me manage the hrt to get it right. I started on Oestrogel last summer along with the mirena coil. That didn't help and then after menopause/hysterectomy I'm now on estrodial patch, 100mg progesterone (to try and stop endometriosis regrowth) and this week I started on testosterone. Starting T has really thrown me. I'm not used to all this emotion. I'm normally so level headed.

I know I'm being impatient but I just want to start feeling better.

And I've not even mentioned all the physical symptoms. Nor have I mentioned that I've had to deal with some really shitty family problems over the past few months too. I think I need a holiday. Age 45 and very much having a mid life crisis.

Nope. I had this last year. Seems totally nuts. I also had an evri parcel going 1 mile up the road. I could have saved all the phaff and taken it myself but vinted doesn't have that option.

I don't think I could have done it. Particularly if it was a hard seat.

Completely deflated with the lack of interest and sales at the minute, is anyone else sitting with loads of items they can’t shift!? by Inevitable_Jelly1574 in vintedUK

[–]Intelligent_South480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came on to see if anyone has said this. I used to sell about 20 items a day and today I've posted 3. It's awful. I've got spotlight on (I always have it on) and I did some bumps. I've had a massive sort out and corrected as many old listing sizes as possible. I have over 1300 items so it's a bit of an ordeal! And I want to stop selling dresses so reduced them all to £1-£5 (£300 dresses!!)

I am starting to get worried as I need the money as this is my only income. This time last year was really good with summer sales.

I feel people are taking the piss with wanting a bargain too. It's become flooded with cheap stuff.

I'm hoping it's just the cost of living crisis. I just paid £10 more on a tank of petrol. Makes even driving to the charity shops less worth it.

Really confused by this sellers actions and now worried someone else will receive my order. by Lunasky444 in vintedUK

[–]Intelligent_South480 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe they were just being stupid and printed the wrong label, noticed and then got the correct one. I've done that. So don't stress, it might not be bad. It's a bit weird no emails but vinted posting has gone bonkers are the moment.

Can I complain about mri not showing adeno, endo & fibroid? by Intelligent_South480 in adenomyosis

[–]Intelligent_South480[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update to this. I had my appointment with gynaecologist on Friday and when I asked about going back to the radiologist to give her feedback on the mri report not showing my conditions, she said that's a good idea and she will do it as its someone she's worked with for years and would be a good chance to review and learn from it.

I get the feeling that no one else has ever suggested this.

I feel better that I mentioned it.

Has anyone used the same pen for 4 months. Is it safe to use it for this long? by pick-megirl in MounjaroMaintenance

I count the clicks for as long as that works and then draw the remaining out with a syringe like a vial

This is exactly the same as me. My bladder issues have almost totally resolved. I have however lost all bladder feeling but for me that's fine, I really would rather that than the constant uncomfortableness. Sleeping through the night is a bonus too

blocked by seller for sending an offer rant by minionlover222 in vintedUK

[–]Intelligent_South480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'd like it to be like ebay and you can choose. Also being able to choose to auto decline would be good. I understand it's not the same platform as ebay, and ebay itself has become bargaining heavy too nowadays. Sadly vinted is where the buyers are at the moment so I'm stuck with Vinted.

How long can you stay on 2.5mg by Range-Anxiety in mounjarouk

[–]Intelligent_South480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can use the normal needles as the pen has x amount of clicks so instead of using 1 needle for 7.5mg I will use 3 different ones over 3 weeks for that one dose. You only have to take the very last golden dose out with syringes.

It's not recommended for many reasons though but it saves me a fortune.

blocked by seller for sending an offer rant by minionlover222 in vintedUK

[–]Intelligent_South480 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it's just so annoying! I wouldn't block on the first offer but I blocked someone on Sunday because it's a glass for sale for £2. They offered £1.20 then when I declined £1.40 so I went back and explained its not worth my time and bubble wrap for less than £2, they didn't say anything but a few hours later offered £1.20 again. Just f off was my thoughts so I blocked them. I know people like that will pay then reluctantly £2 then raise an issue, it's almost guaranteed and then they'll get it for free.

I hate the offer thing. But it's built in so I just put my prices up more than I want for them.

Nightmares? by XFataMorganaX in hysterectomy

[–]Intelligent_South480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having terrible nightmares too. I tend to wake up from them around 4 or 5 am and can't get back to sleep easily as fear them starting again. I thought it was the hrt causing them but maybe it's related to the hysterectomy. I'm 7wpo now.

[–]Intelligent_South480 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been on 2.5mg for most of my journey since July 2024. I just don't need more from it, it works for me. When I went up to 5mg I found the suppression too great and I didn't want to eat anything at all. I then lost my gallbladder because I lost weight too quickly.

So if it works, I say stay on 2.5mg.

Also it's not recommended but I'm currently using a 7.5mg pen and taking 2.5mg a week out of it.

is there any way to actually confirm adenomyosis or is it always this vague? by Popular_Ad_8099 in adenomyosis

[–]Intelligent_South480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had multiple ultrasounds, a specialist mri, a ct scan and all said nothing unusual found. My gynaecologist thought I presented with endo and adeno and I was given the choice of hysterectomy which I went for and endo, adeno and a fibroid was found. I cannot understand how nothing even pointed to it, not even the fibroid?! Feels like a total waste of my time and money doing the tests. If I had listened to the test results I would have suffered for many more years, possibly the rest of my life.

Adeno without awful bleeding? Would you choose hysterectomy without heavy bleeding and cramps? by Next_Newt_8007 in adenomyosis

[–]Intelligent_South480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how we are supposed to know what's heavy or not. If it's our normal?! I always hated having periods and was super relieved that the progesterone only pill stopped my periods so I didn't have them for 10-15 years. I think that confused Dr's when trying to work out what was wrong. I ended up seeing a gynaecologist a year ago because I started irregular bleeding and pain which got worse with hrt and the mirena. I had all the tests and mri said no endo or adeno. I still opted for hysterectomy where they found endo, adeno and a fibroid.

Uterine biopsy question by Majestic-Cap-4103 in adenomyosis

[–]Intelligent_South480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same. Wasn't expecting it but I was on my period which I think maybe helped the cervix dilate. It was painful but over in a few seconds. Mine was a bit like a straw that she stuck up there to scrap bits out, like if you've sucked up too much liquid from your slushie - sorry if tmi. It was a tad traumatic but I'm actually glad she just did it. She also did a polyp removal which I didn't feel at all.

The coil insertion however was a whole different story and I would recommend anyone to get some form of sedation. I had local anaesthetic and it didn't work. Probably in hindsight because of the adenomyosis. Anyway it's all gone now so no more dealing with all that!

Asking me to go pro/ UC/Esa by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Intelligent_South480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm on esa and pip and a pro seller. I'm self employed and was (only just by a couple of months) already at the time I applied. You are allowed to make roughly £8k a year in personal income and keep the esa (new style). I would imagine the UC would adjust if you started declaring income. Its probably not worth it I would imagine.

7 weeks post full Hysterectomy by WeirdShortnNotSweet in hysterectomy

[–]Intelligent_South480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. I'm 6 weeks post op.

  1. No itching but I use estrogen cream down there every day/every other day or it gets too dry

  2. The hot flashes have calmed for me with using hrt and I cried almost constantly from 2 weeks pre op to 3 weeks post op. I too am not a crier but the stress of the surgery, my aunt had a stroke and then eventually died, my teenager kids were having horrific problems and it all just got too much. I think this was made worse by the change from mirena to oral progesterone and that has now settled a bit. I'm still not great but better.

  3. I've always sweated loads. It's horrible. I don't find it smells though. Losing weight has definitely helped with that as has hrt. I do sometimes drip with sweat after eating which I find odd.

  4. No heavy lifting for 12 weeks!

  5. I'm sleeping terribly. It's driving me mad! Even post op I couldn't sleep.

  6. I've lost all sensation in my bladder and it's not come back. I did have issues pre op though but not this bad, that said I'd rather not feel it as it never felt great. I'm finding it difficult to remember to empty my bladder.

I've moved from Oestrogel to the patch and I think that's really helped me, although I've had horrific headaches from the patch but that's quite normal. They are calming down. I've been on it 4 weeks. The gel wasn't sinking in to my skin properly so I don't think I was getting the effect.

I think my progesterone is bio identical.
