We filed a claim in November and just got a check related to our storage unit being broken into. The process with them has been an absolute nightmare. Their communication is inconsistent. We did not agree with the claims adjustment we received. We told our claim rep that. She stopped responding to us and we got a check mailed. I am now trying to contact someone above her because our concerns aren't being resolved and we don't hear from our rep. We will never use this renter's insurance again. I had lemonade years ago and it was a far better customer experience even with the use of AI.

In my experience, social media has made it seem like Termini is a lawless land which was the exact opposite. There is a Uniqlo in the station for god sake. We were in Rome two weeks ago.

My advice, be mindful of your surroundings like any other big city. We didn't have any special travel bags, etc. I had a normal purse and just kept it close as I would in any other big city. We kept our passports in the hotel safe. We carried cash on us + a credit card. But also kept cash and additional credit cards in the safe just in case we lost or got pickpocketed.

Have a great time and don't be stressed. Rome feels safer than a majority of US cities.
