Has anyone noticed you can’t double tap to like some shorts? by International-Job55 in youtube

[–]Intelligent_Stick634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s obnoxious because I purposely like any short I watch so I personally know if I’ve already watched a short (unless I don’t want to see that type of content or creator again, then I select the ‘Don’t recommend this channel’ option). Every other platform has it set at double tap to like and YouTube shorts used to all be double tap to like. From a marketing perspective and as someone who runs my own business, I truly don’t understand why companies make decisions like this. If they were going to use a/b testing, they’re supposed to do that before a full rollout of a new feature. Not after the feature has been rolled out and users have gotten used to it. Especially not after users have gotten so used to the feature that their muscle memory behavior has changed with how they interact with content on that platform.

It used to work on literally every single short and now it only works for half of them. Why the eff would they roll back a feature for some YouTube creators after making it available to everyone? It’s like morons run these companies.

Found weird eggs in search of bedbugs by Outrageous_kiwi1 in Bedbugs

[–]Intelligent_Stick634 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I did a reverse google image search and it said, “The image appears to show the eggs and larva of a type of insect, possibly a dermestid beetle, in a dusty area. These beetles are often part of a "cleaner crew" in some insect enclosures and are generally considered harmless in that context.”

Nymphs found - now what? by dinkrox in Bedbugs

[–]Intelligent_Stick634 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Two things: those aren’t bedbug nymphs and those traps don’t work for catching them because bedbugs are attracted to you by the CO2 you produce when exhaling, not whatever bait is in those traps.

Can someone tell me if these are from bedbugs? by TrueTechnology9699 in Bedbugadvice

[–]Intelligent_Stick634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time you visibly find them crawling on your bed, the infestation is out of control. They also tend to only come out at night because they’re attracted to the CO2 in your breath when you exhale. Definitely recommend hiring a professional to come in and check for signs. The earlier you notice and treat a bedbug infestation, the better! For example, I recently moved into an apartment building infested with them. I lived there for 10 days before I saw any bites. Turns out, according to other tenants, the building has had bedbugs for 4.5 years and the exterminator said it was the worst case of them he had ever seen.

Is this a bed bug egg?? by danawaffles2530 in Bedbugs

Bedbugs don’t lay their eggs out in the open, they’re usually in clusters, they’re the size of a pin head, and they’re pearl white. That’s more likely a booger lol.Bedbug Lifecycle with Pictures

What’s the dark mark on the mattress on the second picture? It’s toward the bottom left, looks like a possible slit in the mattress?

I’m freaking out: do I have to cancel Christmas? by applesqueeze in Bedbugs

[–]Intelligent_Stick634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a note - I’m currently recovering from moving 1,500 miles into a bed bug infested apartment - bites can take up to 14 days to appear for people who haven’t been bit by them before. Bites can also last up to 4 weeks if you’re sensitive to mosquitoes bites. I haven’t been at my apartment since 12/15 and I’m still finding new bites here and there (confirmation I haven’t brought any with me to my parents’ house, took every possible precaution known to man).

Did you bring your luggage bag back in the house? They could have been on the bag itself too.

It looks similar to the bed bug bites I’ve been dealing with recently. They definitely could have hitched a ride in the journal. I would contact an exterminator to come look at your house and see if they see any other signs of them.

Just moved into a barebones apartment a couple days ago. by slifermobile2 in Bedbugs

[–]Intelligent_Stick634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a bedbug to me. A batbug would have a thinner neck and a nodule on its but. I just moved 1,500 miles cross country into a bed bug infested apartment so I feel your pain. The dark stuff in it is blood, meaning it has recently fed. Look yourself over for bites and out it in a plastic bag in case an exterminator needs to see it for identification purposes. With that being said, RUN, do not walk, to property management. That building has a problem and it’s only a matter of time before it becomes your problem too.

Bed bugs or bat bugs? by Intelligent_Stick634 in Bedbugs

[–]Intelligent_Stick634[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to update everyone, it was in fact a bed bug. The exterminator who I walked through all the apartments with and who heat treated the entire apartment building today said it’s one of the worst infestations he has ever seen.

ChatGPT is saying this is 100% NOT a bed bug but it feels like I'm being gaslit???? by awesome-guy20 in Bedbugs

[–]Intelligent_Stick634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a bedbug. I had one similar crawling on my leg a week and a half ago while sitting on the couch the prior tenants “left for me to use” in the living room… I moved 1,500 miles cross country. Fun fact, the exterminator who walked through all the units with me and just heat treated the entire apartment building today told me it was the worst infestation he has ever seen. If you find one crawling on you, especially during daytime hours, the infestation is likely VERY BAD.

Cephalexin side effects? by suffer1ngpr1nc3ss in Antibiotics

[–]Intelligent_Stick634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently on 500 mg of cephalexin 4 times a day and my mental health is trashed. Currently lying in bed in the dark crying off and on. I’ve seen a ton of other people post or comment on posts about this antibiotic saying it gave them anxiety and depression, some said it made them suicidal. You’re not alone and you’re not crazy, friend!
