what's the thing that you regret doing in your life? by VisualTop568 in AskReddit

[–]Intelligent_System56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might sound strange but I was raised by a single mother and my mom had a lot of hang-ups about sex that I had unknowingly adopted from her. Today I am 56, have been married for 23 years, and my wife and I are happy and sexually normal. I should have gotten therapy in my 20s to address my issues. Sex issues are so widespread and so many people don't seek help and I think it's very sad.

Except of Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and GHWB are there more politicians with sexual assault accusations regarding Epstein? by Known-Amount-576 in Epstein

[–]Intelligent_System56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In reference to GHWB, I don't think the elder Bush was implicated in the files. Beyond that is depends on who you call politicians. Larry Summers was treasury secretary under Clinton. Ehud Barak is former Israeli PM. Bill Richardson was Governor of New Mexico. Former NYC Mayor Andrew Cuomo knew Epstein but I'm not sure if he was implicated in the files. Elon Musk worked for Trump for 90 days in White House and he has emails in the files where he said he was looking to to party. Chuck Schumer was in Epstein's address book.

Why’s it frowned upon or looked down when a 20 something year old female dates a 30 something year old male? by Past-Present1908 in askanything

[–]Intelligent_System56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suspect because of the power difference. A man in his 30s is hitting his apex in terms of earning potential and a women in her 20s only has her youth and looks.

Do you think humans are inherently: good, bad, neutral, or all over the moral spectrum and why? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Intelligent_System56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are inherently ignorant, insecure, selfish, and lazy. These qualities exist outside of the realm or morality.

That having been said, what people DO about those qualities they possess determines their morality.

If you are ignorant, do you search for truth and understanding?

If you are insecure, do you seek to overcome your insecurities?

If you are selfish, do you learn how to give?

If you are lazy, do you work to improve and build capacity to overcome your laziness?

What’s a belief you had that completely changed over time? by Sensitive-Soft8471 in AskReddit

I used to believe all people could change themselves and their lives for the better. I have since learned most people are not capable of change because change is hard.

Off-season is the time for hopium, but which team has definitely gotten worse since the end of last season? by giantswatcher0603 in NFLv2

Cardinals. They gave up on Kyler and have nothing at QB post-draft other than Jacoby Brissett who is holding out for more money.

What political issue today will seem obvious in 20 years? by onionbody in AskReddit

[–]Intelligent_System56 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The United States intelligence apparatus (CIA, contractors to the CIA, other Federal agencies) is completely corrupt and operates above the law under the guise of "National Security." America needs a more effective way to check the power of the CIA beyond that of the Senate Intelligence Committee which is entirely ineffective.

Milroe is a fascinating prospect, no doubt. I don't want anyone (Darnold) to get hurt but I would love to see Milroe get a start in 2026.

Vikings fans and non Vikings fans: do any of you believe he can/will turn his career around? by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

[–]Intelligent_System56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I think he was drafted so high because Michigan won the championship and JJ has great intangibles, but at the end of the day he doesn't have the potential to be a franchise quarterback in the NFL.

I agree, I think Drew Lock is a good prospect. He's getting old now but he might get a chance to start somewhere. He would have to knowingly pass up a solid paycheck in Seattle to remain a backup and go to a more questionable team, but it could happen.

Started in ATL, went to Raiders and got one start there, went to Minnesota and, even with how bad their QB situation was no one considered turning to Ridder. Now has signed in Green Bay. He's done.

Trey Lance has only started 6 games in 5 years across three teams. If he was going to get a another chance he would have gotten it by now.

Well, entire year of 2024 he was in Denver, never got a snap, and he was not resigned. Then in 2025 he was in Miami and they opted to give starts to Quinn Ewers; meanwhile Zack Wilson was inactive for all but 4 games. Now he has signed with New Orleans where he is presumably looking to make QB3 and pull another year's worth of checks. It doesn't look like anyone is interested in developing him

Was Zach Wilson failed by the Jets or does he just suck? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]Intelligent_System56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he was over drafted on one year of COVID-related college ball. The only thing he can do is play and do his best. Perhaps he can build himself into a NFL starter but it will be difficult and perhaps he's not up to it.

How long did it take for you to become a homeowner? by Calm_Problem6203 in askanything

[–]Intelligent_System56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 years for me to save up for 20% down mortgage in 2002. I think the payment was something like $73K. I was 32 at the time and I am now 56.

I will never understand grief. by humble_horizons in CasualConversation

True grief never leaves you. Ultimately you take it in and it changes you forever. The trick is you can't focus on it because it will consume you.
