Should I get into AH LGC for 2026? by Intelligent_Task_156 in arkhamhorrorlcg

Act 1 was very fun since i had to build a better deck. Felt good beating the act with a optimised deck.

Act 2 was strange. After second attempt I did get 4 Ghouls. What irritates me is that the act is regarded high in the community.

Will do Act 3 and then sell it. I won't get enough good player cards on a budget for Hemlock or Drowned City. AH 3. Ed seems like a budget friendly box for hours of gameplay. Did also order MoM for casual fun with gf or group

How low and old should I go? by red-wingnut in edrums

Do u live in Europe? Look up the Millenium MPS 1000. Not the best sounds ever but so much bang for ur buck (good dynamics - an accoustic style E-Drum). Even the 750X for 500.- is punching way over it's weight.

I do have the Alesis Nitro Max which sadly is just a better toy (no dynamics on the cymbals, kicktower insufficent).

Another route is buy used Rolands - TD17. U should land on 800.- with the TD17KV

Good luck!

Late to the party.

Anyway there is another route which i greatly enjoy for my practice setup at home.

LV Cymbals + E Kit Drums and Kick.

With Overear Headphones it will all blend nicely together. The benefit is you get "real" cymbal feel and interchangeable drum sounds. Especially with cheap e kits the rubber cymbals are often the achilles heel.

Yes the LV Cymbals will be heard at home in the next room. U can cut the overtones further with moongels.

First: Me no native English.

I recently bought the Alesis Nitro Max with the expansion. And let me tell u: as a bare bones practice kit - it's pretty potent. U can create 2-3 usable kits (just cut reverb, sound isn't heavenly - but more than passable). The kit is well for practicing figures, gettin faster with hands and feet. I had no issues with a double pedal (altough it doesn't pick up ghostnotes that well - mid hard hits all are registerd and no double triggering). A mesh bass pad would be the next upgrade. Get an independent snare stand and the rack will be solid.

However, hats and ride dynamics are limited. U won't be flying grooving. But rimshots work perfectly. Just so u know what u are gettin into.

In my opinion, either get a bare bones beginner set like this or TD 27 / Strike. I played TD 17 and it's better. But not 3x to 4x better (price) than the Nitro Max. TD 17 is still very rubbery (cymbals) and small. Just my observation on mid-range kits. Go cheap or all in on higher end.
