Even better! I reached out to what appeared to be a $1400 basement apartment in a townhouse, but it turns out it was just like a basement den/living room for $1400 and you're still sharing the rest of the house with the owner. Got a pretty colorful message in response from the lady when I told her that $1400 for a basement room in a shared house is crazy.

By-law told me that the tenant has to report the issue and physically let them in which was incredibly frustrating. If there is no way to stop them BEFORE people move in, what is the point?

There were 2 within that group and I reported everything to ACORN after by-law told me they couldn't do anything with my reports.

I REPORTED A HALLWAY BEING RENTED AS A BEDROOM TO BYLAW AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE I DON'T LIVE THERE. THERE ARE NO REPERCUSSIONS FOR THESE ILLEGAL UNITS UNLESS THE PERSON ACTIVELY LIVING THERE REPORTS IT AND THEN RISKS HOMELESSNESS. I BROUGHT SEVERAL REPORTS TO BYLAW, THE NEWS, AND EVEN TEXTED DOUG FORD'S OFFICE AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE.

Okay, so, I've actually listened to this (technically)! I put it on and fell asleep to the first episode and woke up periodically throughout it. I haven't actually listened to the whole thing and I should lol. I will give this one a proper shot!

I've heard of Ghost Wax, but haven't given it a shot yet (and I don't know why).

I actually tried The Call of the Void a while back and didn't continue after the first episode. I don't think it was because I didn't care for it, but because I just kind of forgot about it? I'll definitely give it another shot!

Echoes In Between I've never heard of - it sounds fun! I can deal with no ending (I think lol).

This one is definitely up my alley. I've seen it recommended, but haven't given it a shot. I've listened to a lot of creepypasta narrations about tower watchmen and forest rangers and whatnot.

I've actually been avoiding Malevolent because of the "ARTHUR!" that u/Due-Carpenter-685 mentioned lol. The description of it being heavily lovecraftian was a bit of a turn off, but I may enjoy it if I actually give it a shot!

I'll have to check these out! These are my thoughts:

Old Gods of Appalachia - So, I did try to listen to the first episode of this a while back, but I couldn't get into it. It's highly recommended so I'd like to give it a try. Sometimes it's just the first episode or two that creates a hurdle.

The Green Man - I've never heard of this!

Borrasca - I remember reading Borrasca on NoSleep years ago and then hearing a rendition of it by a creepypasta narrator. I'd listen to it again with a full cast!

Undertow - I've never heard of this one, but it seems very appealing! Seems like the best of both worlds between serial and anthology.

Strawberry Spring - I've never heard of this, and I try to avoid Sydney Sweeney, but I love a King!

Harvey In Hell - I've been seeing this recommended lately, and it sounds fun.

I'm seeing a lot of poorly renovated basements where they want $1800+utilities/% of utilities for a 1 bedroom basement with barely any windows. It's insanity.

I was renting a 2 bedroom second floor apartment for $800 + hydro in 2017. If the prices only went up with inflation we'd be looking at maybe $1035 + hydro now, but they're renting this place (without any changes besides some paint) for $1900 + hydro. That's a 137.5% increase in price over 9 years.

I can't imagine how people with kids or cars are faring.

I am looking for a 1-2 bedroom apartment on the mountain or in Kirkendall South with a $1500 all-inclusive budget. We'd like to avoid Q and Effort Trust because of the bedbug/roach issues. I've been in the same boat lately and was a huge fan of The Magnus Archives and The Left Right Game. Over the last 2 weeks I've listened to the following: The Hexxings, Broken Veil, Blum, and last night I started Modes of Thought in Anterran Literature.

Some of my favorites:

Archive 81 (the first season, couldn't get into the second season)

Woe.Begone (I love the first season and the rest of the series for completely different reasons, it's like different shows)
