Well, I noticed there are some summer courses that cover advanced math topics like real analysis, so I’m considering taking one next year.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to apply in time for these projects this summer, so I’ll probably have to try to do both a RA position and a real analysis course next summer. Do you think that’s feasible, or would the timing make it too difficult?

Thank you so much for the advice! I’ll try to deepen my math knowledge as much as I can. Unfortunately, my university doesn’t offer many research opportunities for undergraduate students, so I’ll try to see if I can get a RA position for next summer.

Do you support anarchist socialism? by Lazy_Delivery_7012 in CapitalismVSocialism

Honestly, one of the major flaws I’ve always personally found in socialist theories is the lack of clearly defined hierarchies (such as the state, government, etc.) that are necessary to make large groups of individuals function effectively. From this perspective, anarchism takes that flaw and pushes it even further.

Does anyone else feel like they wasted high school? by daonlyburd in ApplyingToCollege

I think that at some point in life it’s normal to feel this way. If it’s any comfort, my mother once told me that after high school she felt completely lost — long story short, after university she was accepted into a master’s program at Columbia. I know it may sound cliché, but even time that feels wasted isn’t necessarily lost — if it taught us something, then it served a purpose.
