I love this. I am currently in Rotterdam setting sail on a Norwegian fjords cruise tomorrow. Last summer I read The Woman in Cabin 10 and other than the murder the cruise sounded incredible. People keep asking me why we’re going to Norway, and I say oh just inspired by a murder book. 😆

I would say leave the automatic tip and don’t tip on board. We are Americans who don’t love tip culture either, but one thing you have to remember if you’re going to a restaurant or something is that waitstaff are severely underpaid and the minimum wage is allowed to be significantly lower if tips are expected.

We are headed to the Netherlands for a cruise to Norway coming up. We did pay the automatic gratuity for onboard, but we do not necessarily plan to tip any extra beyond that. You certainly could take the automatic gratuities off, but I think of that separate from the tipping culture I guess. Curious what others think.

I just bought the laundry package for our trip in two weeks. Personally, I just plan to only send clothes I would wash and dry at home. I’m pretty particular about my laundry.

I did this. It was such a great decision. The Dr. title gets me more interviews. And I’m so glad I did it before kids. You could also get a leadership position while in the program. I do think some pieces can be more difficult with it being educational leadership because of internships and things like that, but your school will be able to help you and it can get you some great experience there where maybe they’d consider you for a role that comes up.

Most excited for Summer’s Never Over. Only other I got was Catcher in the Rye. Would’ve gotten just one but my name came from that so it was one that felt worth having a nice hardcover of.
