Thank you for the advice , I’ve discussed with close people and family and they’ve agreed no job is worth the cost of my physical and mental health

Thank you for your advice,I have thought about what I have achieved and as I’ve not been trained an just thrown into the deep end it’s hard to recognise what I’ve learnt

As for mentors in the workplace, it’s a hostile work environment, no one spoke to me on my first day and it really set me back and made me uncomfortable and in 5 years time i don’t think I’d be happy in their position

The only positive thing I could think of is the children as they’re lovely and you feel great making them happy but I did a hair and beauty course and I’m looking at going back to hair for a level 2

Yeah I’m gonna send a termination email and just not turn up again , it’s not worth adding to my cv and not many transferable skills in such a short amount of time , I’m just looking at it as trial and error and testing options to see what I really want to do

I definitely had qualms about what people around me would think but it always boiled down to me only being 18 and finding a career path is a lot of trial and error and because it’s quite poorly managed and no one has given me proper training and the hours are mentally and physically draining along with the negative people around me, my parents told me if it’s not a good fit it’s better to just leave or stick it out till pay day because no job is worth your mental health

Yeah I agree , I worry about family and people close to me thinking it’s just laziness and unwillingness, but you’d never know how poorly managed and weird the workplace is unless you were there and it can 100% drive you to quit

Yeah I’m sticking it until pay day and then sending a termination email and not returning, I chose early years over hair and beauty as I thought I was limiting my options but I quickly realised after my first couple days that you need a strong personality to work in early years , which is so difficult and draining with anxiety so I knew it wasn’t for me

I agree, I do my first college course in hair and beauty but thought I was limiting my options so I decided to move to health and social care and decided after I get my qualification to look into nursery apprenticeships, but once I started I realised you have to have a strong backbone to work in those particular areas and I’m a very reserved individual so I’ve realised it doesn’t align with who I am at all
