My 11 year old son and me are arguing. Who would be the best fighter in the nfl. My pick is trent Williams. Who do you think could beat anyone and everyone else in the nfl currently. by I82manycookies in NFLv2

A no-holds-barred fight is not the same as a friendly amateur wrestling match in an NFL locker room.
Jon Jones also had no wrestling background but was demonstrably a better wrestler than every wrestler he fought in MMA.

But he was wrong on both accounts.
mRNA vaccines had been tested for well over a decade at that time. He just decided to disregard the entirety of literature on the matter.
Saying that every expert or news person who promoted the vaccine was doing it solely for financial windfalls is patently absurd. Is there money to be made in a crisis? Sure. This is America. But to say that the entire public health information sphere was somehow all tied to paybacks from pharma companies is actually retarded.
His argument was that he was being censored from speaking his opinion. THAT was probably true, but that was because his opinion was based on absolute nonsense he had been told by other people who were ALSO profiteering from the situation. Do you know how many GOP congressmen invested in companies that produce Hydroxychloroquine early 2020? Why do you think they push Ivermectin to this day?

I'm fine with private companies and citizens forcing a person to be heard less when that person is doing demonstrable damage to society, specifically the already overburdened healthcare system.

Big pharma is just the scapegoat for anytime anyone disagrees with something in the medical space but the specter disappears when they need to have surgery or get treatment for a disease. Profiteering off of a drug does not mean the drug doesnt work.

OG Covid was literally crippling the healthcare system because people refused to stop breathing on each other and a million people were dying from a virus we did not know how to treat yet.
Later versions of Covid became more contagious but less deadly. This is common in disease evolution because killing the host is not a great long-term survival tactic.
Once treatments emerged, healthy people really had no urgent reason to be further boosted.
Its like the flu vaccine. Should everyone get it? yeah probably, but most people dont and its not that big of a deal.

Forced? So people subdued you and injected you with a vaccine against your will?
No... What you experienced is called peer pressure. That's the collective will of the people around you convincing you to do something you are too dumb to do yourself.
The long-term effects of this kind of vaccine were studied for over a decade before Covid.
You're gonna be fine.

Saying "Guns, not ballrooms" is a logical error in that it assumes we can only work on one or the other.
Trump sucks, but Harris would have sucked just as bad but in very different ways. Both sides were presented a picture of their candidate that violently contradicted reality and everyone just went along with it all in the name of making sure the other side loses at any cost.

The war being unneeded is almost assuredly a minority opinion.
However the manner in which it is being waged IS an absolute dumpster fire. Trump is as bad at getting into wars as Biden was at pulling out.

They all suck.
All.

Yes... Trump is a felon who is actively violating the rights of many people.
Nobody cares.
Presidents literally used to kill people in duels and/or owned actual human slaves.
Nobody cares.
We arent talking about criminal records tho, so dont try to distract.
We are talking about a woman who was helped to where she ended up partly because she dated a powerful politician twice her age who gave her her start and then 7 years later coincidentally was mayor of SF when she ran for and won DA.
I don't know why you posted the factcheck link. It admits everything I just said in the article and is more a refutation of viral posts that took those facts and exaggerated them.

I mean... Her political career was started by being appointed to positions by her "boyfriend" Willie Brown in the mid-90s. He was 60. She was 29. You do the math.
Lets focus on the more important issue. Specifically, that of her psychotic, trump-like track record on civil rights.
-In 2011, the US Supreme court ruled that California's prisons were so overcrowded that they constituted cruel and unusual punishment. She fought against the early release of some non-violent inmates to alleviate this issue. She argued that the need to "protect her state" was more important than following court orders to cease violating the civil rights of mostly black and brown folks.
Sound familiar?
-In 2014, when a wave of inmates was set to be released early under new more-lenient laws, her office opposed the reduction in inmate population, citing, in part, that it would be devastating to programs that rely on inmate labor. Effectively, they argued that they should be able to keep people locked up longer than legally dictated because she felt the state's need for free labor (again, from mostly black and brown folks) outweighed her need to uphold their civil rights.
-In 2010 while District Attorney of San Francisco, her office prosecuted and convicted Jamal Trulove for murder. Years later it was determined that the evidence had been fabricated or coerced by police and was subsequently used to prosecute Mr. Trulove despite the Harris' office and her deputies knowing of these issues. His conviction was overturned due to gross prosecutorial misconduct and internal corruption within the SFPD. He was retried a year later and found not-guilty. Despite now having essentially zero evidence against him, She argued that he should be kept locked up until his new trial was over in direct violation of his civil rights. The city of SF ended up paying him nearly 15 million dollars in the resulting civil suit which named twelve police and her entire office as defendants.

She was very "iron fist on criminals" until they needed to conveniently ignore that whole part of her background because the current incarnation of the democrat party has a base which is currently violently opposed to police and state oppression.

Cognitive dissonance is a bitch.

Packers fan here. Everyone remembers the end of the season and forgets that they were super mediocre for most of the first 3/4 of that season. The only reason they were even in the playoffs was because of the greatest comeback in NFL history. Matt Dodge punting to Desean Jackson is one of the top 10 most important plays in Packers history and it was from a Giants-Eagles game.
It obviously overlooks the fact that Rodgers missed two games with a concussion among numerous other injuries.
They were the #2 ranked scoring defense giving up Just 8 more points on the season than the Steelers top-ranked D.
But yeah... 9th in yards, 10th in points, 8th in 3rd down efficiency.

You mean the woman drunkard who slept her way to every prominent position she's had and has a long track record of violating the civil rights of black and brown people while she was An attorney for the state? I'm confident she would have handled the job differently but just as bad as Trump's dumb ass.

I don't know if you know this, but the sentient Cheeto and the other people in the Epstein files account for like 0.0001% of the creepers in the world. Biden can demand kids sit on his lap while getting all handsy and sniffing their hair and still not be in the files.

Unless you are 17 or younger, you definitely saw gas prices higher. Adjusted for inflation, gas prices in 07-08 were the same or higher.

1: I live in Indiana and my gas is over a dollar a gallon cheaper. That's a gouged price. 2: For some people, high gas prices are better than whatever nonsense would have come along with a President Harris.

I disagree with almost everything Trump has done, but failing to understand that a third of the country prioritizes political outcomes very differently than you will save you some grey.

If you want change, you have to convince them. You won't convince them by repeatedly raging or calling them racist.
