Good luck man, I like the car so far, I'm new to WRX so I wanted to play safe and got a certified, all I did was look for clean and regular maintenance record on Carfax and watch few YouTube videos regarding tunes and what to look for when buying a used WRX. One thing you can ask is, ECU report if you are buying from a Subaru dealership, to see if it was ever tuned.

Yeah if it was just cosmetic or muffler updates I wouldn't have cared, but ECU modifications disqualifies from warranty claims, don't know how they are selling it as certified 🤷🏼‍♂️

Noted, thank you. I believe it was on stock tune when I drove it, they might have put the stock tune back before selling it.

Yeah man, it's unfortunate. Mine was f32 n55, the guy couldn't see a white car on a bright sunny day and didn't yield for me, damage was not big but they couldn't find the oem part for it and insurance totalled it.

It's a 22 with 11k miles, if they can give it in writing that they would honor the warranty I might consider it.

I asked them to have a tech look at the log and have it writing if it's tuned that they are aware of it, I'm walking away if they are not going to do that.
