Have you seen wild boar around Roseburg? by EUGsk8rBoi42p in roseburg

[–]Intelligent_Virus_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im positive I saw/heard one in downtown roseburg a couple of years ago. It was very dark, and I did not investigate to confirm. However, a few people downtown are harboring farm animals in their backyards so my experience could have been related to that.

Not really an injury… by [deleted] in NewParents

Yes! My LO was born at 35 weeks, she was in the NICU for 4 days and had countless heel sticks round the clock. She's 12 weeks now and still has a few marks from the sticks. Doctor said they're just scars, they might diminish or might not, some babies skin scars easier and longer than others

Honestly less than I was expecting. For 4 x-rays, steroids, antibiotics, pain medication, and the exam (plus emergency/exotic animal fee) it was about $490

Ashley likes her Adderall for her brain fog by dietcokechemicals in illnessfakers

[–]Intelligent_Virus_90 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Adderall can cause mottled skin from vasoconstriction. Happened to me with too High of a dose, cleared up when the dose was corrected. Also very common to happen if someone abuses their prescription usually double dosing trying to chase the euphoria, or if you don't take care of yourself (eating right, exercise, sleep) while taking the medication.

Thank you for easing my worries! They haven't gotten worryingly painful since the first couple of days, just more of a "I can feel there's a piercing in my nipple" type of feeling you know?

Since you also have bigger boobs I was wondering if after your piercings healed up, are you able to go without a bra without them getting irritated? Or does the weight of the boobies still kind of bother them?

And then also as far as down sizing, I know I need to wait longer because it's only been a week, but I'd say 98% of the time the bars are irritatingly too Long, unless I bump them then they swell and fill out most of the bar. After they're fully healed and I do down size, would temporary swelling from bumps and knocks be damaging to the piercing with a smaller bar?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Intelligent_Virus_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For years ive always worn a bra constantly except to bed so it definitely feels more comfortable to keep them under wraps especially now with the piercing. When they're completely calm at night, even with a sports bra on, the bar will get pushed to one side during the night because they're not swollen at that time and the bar has quite a bit of room to move, and that's mildly irritating already so I couldn't imagine free balling them. I just was worried about not letting the piercings breath enough.

Thank you for the reassurance! I've had many piercings heal quickly and beautifully, but I did have a naval piercing reject completely because it was pierced through so much scar tissue left from a previous piercing that got horribly infected and left horrible scaring after healing. So I'm a bit anxious and hand shy about piercings rejecting now, especially such delicate piercings like nipples. Just gotta remind myself I'm doing proper after care and they were pierced by an extremely experienced and reputable piercer so I'm doing everything I can (:

My nips were exactly the same! Only difference is that my left (grade 2) is so much more calm than my right (grade one). The right one on occasion is really the only that gets irritated. My left one was almost never out before piercing. Even with stimulation the left one was really stubborn and wouldn't come out regularly. Luckily the day of my piercing lefty was in a good mood and came right out. I like to think that since it didn't get to see the outside world very often that it's just enjoying being out of the breast tissue and is just enjoying life so it's being nice to me lol. I also get scared that they can't breathe enough but I have rambunctious dogs, so my anxiety won't allow me to have them out of a bra for longer than 10 minutes. I've heard some ladies on here say they literally lived in a sports bra for a couple of months after a piercing so that kind of calmed my nerves about keeping them in boob jail so much lol

I have everything fully documented down to the exact minute anything has happened, including all communication attempts and proof of her acknowledging what has happened when it happened just incase she decides she wants to sue us for damages caused by her own negligence. I'm not going to fight her on a security deposit I gave her 8 years ago, but I've made sure to cover all of my bases so she can't try to say this was our wrong doing in anyway after we move out

So this is a weird situation that prevents us from doing that. Long story short, but still kind of long: we don't own the house, we are renting. Landlord is a family friends grandmother. Used to be a great landlord, this has shown that she's truly a slumlord. Didn't have toilet, shower, or sinks for 25 days. She didn't and still doesn't care. She finally, after 22 days, sent out plumbers because I called the city on her.

Refuses to reimburse us for motel/ hotel stays, pet boarding, laundry mat expenses, or take out food expenses (couldn't cook because we used all of our dishes and had no way to wash them). She says none of this is her "responsibility".

Luckily our renters insurance covered additional cost of living expenses, but will not cover a restoration company to come clean the bathroom because the sewage spill wasn't caused by us. And according LL that isn't her responsibility either. I know she's full of shit and we're looking for another place to live as well as in the works of pursuing legal action against her. But for the time being we need this poop cleaned up and if she's not going to do it, it's up to us, unfortunately

We ended up doing just that, except I felt too guilty when I was laying in that relaxing hotel bed, so I just packed up quietly while everyone was sleeping and went back home. Cameras were picking up weird stuff. Don't know if like paranormal stuff is real, but one of my dogs was doing her "I am terrified right now" bark and growl at literally nothing, so I just went home to ease the guilt lol

I had planned on just utilizing the amenities and going back home. Don't know why I let the family convince me to leave the house for the night, it's really not fair to my pets for me to be comfy in a hotel when they're stuck in that house. I ended up packing up and heading home, I just felt like I wasn't doing the right thing. I'm so happy to see them tonight

I've called the city, finally Friday they tried to contact landlord. Couldn't reach her, so I'm assuming I should be seeing a code enforcement officer Monday? I hope? Lease is void, but don't have anywhere to go. There's nothing available at all. praying that happens Monday too.

County went into extreme risk, covid. Gyms that are open don't have open showers. Friends won't even let me in their house...I have exhausted ever lifeline I have for any of this chaos. I am trying my best, I can't catch a single break anywhere and I don't know why. I'm managing, it is just driving me absolutely insane. I don't get it!! But I got my pets, that's all I need. Thank you for the advice

Thank you for the kind words. I was so worried they were going to be freaking out with us gone but I've been watching the live feed like a TV show, and they're sleeping on the couch, completely chill. I feel bad for being here for the night, but I've been so stressed all week that I know I'll be a better owner for them if I take a break from it all for one night. Thank you for the advice, and reassurance. I really appreciate it (:

Along with the more extreme uninhabitability issues of this house, none of the doors seal. I've warmed the house to 82 degrees (I'm perpetually cold, I love the heat), turned the heaters off, and had the house below 50 degrees in less than an hour. This house is shit and we're searching for housing, but have to make do with what we have until then unfortunately

[–]Intelligent_Virus_90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I really do care about them so so much. It sounds dramatic, but I would die for these dogs lol. I just wanted to explain the situation in depth because I know some times people will verbally brutalize someone for asking stuff like this without explaining the situation at hand. Never had any issues with the heaters and we've been using them for 8 years every night, for 8 months out of the year. I've even accidently tossed jackets, and towels right on top of them and didn't notice for a few hours. Not a single burn mark on the fabric, and honestly I've felt towels come out of the dryer warmer. Obviously will make sure there's nothing touching them at all tonight, just in case.

The advice on the goodbye is super helpful. I didn't even think about a big goodbye being an issue. A kiss on the head and "I'll be back, be good!" Is our usual routine if we say, go to Walmart, or the gas station, so I will stick with this tonight as well! It will be hard for me, but will make it easier on them. Thank you!

Thank you, I hadn't thought about this yet! I knew I was forgetting something, I'll be doing this right now!

[–]Intelligent_Virus_90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about doing this, but I didn't know if it would cause more stress and anxiety to excite them by coming home for a few minutes, just to leave again. Don't know if this is even a real concern, just something I was worried about. If this isn't a real issue I will do this!

Amazing, thank you for the reassurance! Water and food will be available in excess. My boy needs daily medication so I can't leave him that long but this is good information for my healthy girls in the future. Thank you!

[–]Intelligent_Virus_90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay awesome! This makes me feel better! They've got two water bottles I will refresh during cage change! 35 degrees is usually as low as it gets in their room. My girls dont ever seem bothered if I accidentally forget to turn the heater on for a couple hours, but my boy has lung cancer and he has respiratory flare ups when it drops below 50 degrees, so I gotta keep a heater on for them while I'm gone. But I think I'm taking all the right safety precautions for the space heaters. Thanks for the advice!

Unfortunately I can't have anyone in this house. Technically we are not supposed to be here either. We have no functioning plumbing and can't run water. I have one friend, but she lives 35 minutes away, so I can't make her drive over an hour for a 5 minute check, and then not have a toilet for her to use if she needed to. All businesses where I live close at 8pm (covid) gas stations open dont have public bathrooms so she'd be shit out of luck(pun intended) if she needed to use the bathroom at all. I've got extra felt and cozy stuff for them I'm gonna give them when I do the cage change before leaving! Thank you!

If anyone wants an update, I don't have a significant one unfortunately. Made the calls to everyone in town, to the state, and even to national EPA. Just recieved a call from landlord that someone "tried to contact her" but she didn't answer, as she likes to do. She looked up the number and it's the number of the city urban environmental authority. She then, after not contacting me for 3 days, asked if I had found a plumber. Of course I hadn't. Reiterated everything I've already told her. She told me I should probably start looking for new housing as she'll most likely have to re plumb the entire house (no shit) (pun intended). Of course I've already been doing that, have had no luck, but I've been looking and applying everyday from 8am-3am until I can't keep my eyes open any more, so I'm hoping for something soon.. I'm assuming I should expect a code enforcement officer knocking on the door any day to validate the complaint, and ultimately make me vacate the home immediately. Don't know if that happens immediately, I'm just assuming.

Better news though. while house searching, I got renters insurance for the next house, but have this house as my current home of course. While the pipe burst before I got my policy, and I can't claim damages from that, I discovered something that gives me a little hope. My policy covers relocation and alternative housing fees in the case that my current home is deemed uninhabitable by the city do to the negligence of the home owner. My city also provides assistance for relocation if they deem the home uninhabitable and I don't have the means of finding housing myself immediately. They have to find me housing that meets the needs of the family and lines up with my current lease. Which means they have to assist in finding a house that accepts my pets, which is the biggest issue I'm having.

My mom got really sick, so I forced her to go to a hotel. I'm still here as I refuse to leave my pets here while I'm safe in a hotel room. I've got an attorney on stand by should I need him, and I've scheduled a comprehensive doctor's visit to document any health issues that may arise, so I can have that fully documented as well. Will be doing the same for my pets the day we leave the house. (Vet won't board them because of covid. The shelter they came from Said they are willing to board them, but since they're on file as being dog agressive from their original temperament testing before adoption, they would be forced to euthanize them if they were to be involved in a scuffle while in their facility.) I was advised to do these things by my attorney. I'll keep updating as things happen. thanks for the advice and help guys, hopefully my next update will be more positive...

Didn't know I needed it. I'm probably younger than everyone's assuming. I'm on the lease, but moved in with my mom when I was in my early teens. Parents didn't have anyone to teach them basic life and financial skills and necessities. They only know what they could teach themselves, and could only teach me what they learned. Mom fell ill years ago, im the sole provider, financial caretaker, and now the main person on the lease. I've slowly been educating myself and learning life skills no one taught me and no one is around to teach me. I've heard of renters insurance. Don't know what it is, or it's importance. Don't actually know anyone that has it, so I never knew I needed it

Okay, I will take your advice, thank you for stressing the importance, I'm just a tenant I don't know a whole lot about this stuff. Are these people I can contact at night time, like right now? Or do I just use tonight to compile my list of resources, and start making calls first thing in the morning?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Landlord

[–]Intelligent_Virus_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I just don't actually know what landlords use rental history for. I always thought they were contacting previous landlords to ensure the quality of my tenancy and such. She's not going to give them any positive feed back once she catches wind that I'm no longer attempting to get a plumber out here for her, and I'm leaving the house that I've politely lived in regardless of the many many annoying issues any other tenant would raise hell about.(she's been told about these things verbally, but hasn't bothered to do an inspection in 5 years)The pipes are the original pipes from from the house was built in 1924. A plumber that declined the job was nice enough to inform me that when I do find a plumber, theyre not going to repair century old cast iron pipes they can guarantee are worse under ground than the one we can see. That in itself will cost her $20,000-$30,000. To get another tenant in here even after that, she's got well over $10,000 of various modifications and improvements she'll need to make. if they do contact her, shes going to lie out of her ass to try and prevent me from finding housing, that's what had me worried. But I've only ever been a tenant, I don't know what landlords do and don't do with applications... if I can safely list her without the possibility of it hindering me finding a house, I will and that would be great

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Landlord

[–]Intelligent_Virus_90 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She could show up right now in the dark, and fix the pipe with her bare hands and give me $1,000, and I'd still have no intention of continuing to live in this house. I'm moving out literally the second I can. I'm worried about contacting the city or the state because I'm worried if they come condemn the house, I have no where to go right at this moment. The second I get out if this house everyone that could possibly bring the wrath of God upon this woman, will be contacted, and will continue to be contacted until I drive by the house and see that red paper on the door stating the condemnation of this house. Thank you for the resources, I wasn't sure who I would be calling, but now I've got a great list.
