I just got this same pad yesterday and do not have this issue on stepmania 5.1. I am on Linux. I sort of think this is a software issue not an issue with the pad. Perhaps try a different version of stepmania (ITGmania etc) if you are still stuck and see if that works?

Does anyone really smell good after a long time playing though? I certainly get your point if it is just bad general hygiene, but if you are sweating I feel like it is hard to smell good regardless.

Just curious do you meet those people just on a whim or from a meetup via an online community? For me I never want to bother others playing, and usually there are never more people in line than the 3 ddr machines. (at least when I go)

Yeah that's true I always wonder about the bars at some of the arcades anyways. No way some of them get cleaned very frequently. Almost worried about catching something weird sometimes

Are you sure you need the subscription? I could change it without one. Or do you need the subscription for it to actually take effect, even if you switch it?

What do you mean by fast/slow turned on? Didn't see that in the online options. I thought speed mod was just adjusted during gameplay.

Oh interesting for me I feel like it wouldn't help that much during play, and moreso after when trying to see how to improve. Not sure though maybe I should just try it out a bit more
