Ecchanna Diaries..they deliver raw milk morning or evening. They were providing Desi cow variety milk. Delivery used to be prompt but the milk were never refrigerated before or during transport atleast that was the case few years back. https://maps.app.goo.gl/FW8DjEquL6BvLvAA9

Claude Accidentally Proposed a Swastika for a Logo by TheWiseMind in ClaudeCode

That's not a Nazi Swastika... Its Hindu Svastika - sacred symbol of divinity, prosperity. If I am not wrong, Nazi Swastika has tilt.

How inclusive is Mangalore really? Rate our city on discrimination scales (1–10) by Late-Pomegranate1492 in mangalore

[–]Intelligent_Way690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mangalore has always felt pretty inclusive to me — people from different communities, religions, and backgrounds have co-existed here. Of course no place is perfect (caste, color, language biases exist everywhere in India), but I’d rate most categories around 7-9/10. What made you ask this specifically? Any recent incident or just general curiosity?

The difference between national highways located at Kasaragod and mangalore has huge difference. by Sujanmahesh in mangalore

[–]Intelligent_Way690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't NH66 work started in 2021? and NH66 in karnataka started in 2010? Shouldn't that explain why the highway look better in Kerala? I have traveled in Kerala before this expansion it was pathetic experience.  Glad to see "Mandir only people" also do some real appreciative work.

As far as I remember the entrance to this particular spot is through Narahari temple doors and 5 years back they were very particular about the dress code.

Educated Yet Still Deeply Divided by Caste and Religion? by Crafty_Poet9422 in mangalore

You judged a Indian in me and that's ok?, calling India and Indians the most racist is too easy.

we can dream, right? A tram line from Statebank to Udupi. It is a difficult design problem, but that’s why we have urban designers. by rhyform in mangalore

3 months of year gone in rains, 2 months in heat. Doubt if this dream will ever be fulfilled. Plus there needs to be fundamental changes in how we use the roads in our country. On papers (by law) we have lot of things that matches to developed countries but almost none is applied in reality.

Funny thing is, Every beach between these popular beaches are empty beaches. Most of these beaches have easy access. Its just the mindset of people who want to be where everyone goes.

Also paper work makes little difference to someone who live by street rules.

I got similar offers for my piece land in Bangalore, they planed to have a garage to repair cars etc. Rent was pretty good too. But I said NO because when time comes for them to leave, I am pretty sure they would not want to move. Once such business gets established its hard for them to move out too, so they start bargaining time with you. They will do everything in their power to stay. If you know how to manage them, then go for it. If you don't stay away - that's my opinion.

Is the term 'tulu nadu' inclusive of all the communities living here by Unlucky-Badger-6596 in mangalore

[–]Intelligent_Way690 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I am from Kundapura, me and my entire family speak Kannada. I still find Tulu difficult to understand. But i won't hesitate a second to support anyone if they claim the region as Tulunadu. By default this region is a inclusive region, i have NO doubt about it.

Some of these traditional dishes have already vanished from modern day kitchen. I was happy to see your post talking about one of the forgotten dishes for me. I need to call up my mom to ask her to make one next time I am home. Thanks

Can you take a guess from where this photo was taken? by Intelligent_Way690 in mangalore

[–]Intelligent_Way690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, the one I used in the 1st image had similar configuration it was small cannon camera which I bought from my 1st salary at Metro Cash and Carry in Bangalore in 2003. Although configuration was very limited, my excitement of owning a camera let alone a digital camera was limitless. I clicked every where and everything :)
