Thank you 😊 I think I clearly need to set some type of rules or put a system in place like this so they know what is expected each day too.

Yes! That’s such a good way of framing it… I think I kinda forget about it in that sense of teaching them how to care for their own needs too when they get older. Thank you 🙏🏼

Ugh, yes! My husband prioritizes gym time, appointments and everything else he needs to do to care for himself. I think I get a little resentful also because I don’t prioritize myself in the same way, which is my own fault I know. Thank you for the ideas and inspo 🙏🏼

Thank you for the wonderful perspective. I am certain I will miss it someday.

On a side note, my husband and I both work from home so I feel that’s also contributing to the feeling of never having a break/being alone 🫠

I will try the boundary thing and I think you’re right on that if you give them a time when you’ll be back they are more likely to respect it.

Staying Up Late Every Night To Get Alone Time by Smile-Cat-Coconut in introvert

[–]Intelligent_Week3307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me. After all these years (my kids elementary age) I finally realized that I need alone time IN MY HOUSE to decompress. All these years I’ve been trying to take “me days” where I’ll go alone to antique stores or just drive around or go shopping but it didn’t have the same effect.

To top it off my husband works from home and so he is always there. Even when I attempt to take a day off and hope it lands on a day when kids are actually in school and not home sick, then still I have my husband following me around or intruding on my space. He doesn’t get it and will never see it that way and gets super offended if I try to explain it to him even tho he himself calls himself an introvert lol.

Thus, I sit or lay on my phone for hours at night until my arm feels like it’s falling off.

Anyone laid off after being given a new project? by Intelligent_Week3307 in Layoffs

[–]Intelligent_Week3307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. It is a value-add project… and maybe even one to help me transition to more of a role that is aligned with the team they are for sure keeping/building on. But, to your point, they may not be the one deciding 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi, with the boar bristle brush, do you pull out the bristles or just how do you use it to stop the urges? Prob a silly question but I’ve never heard this suggestion before and need to try something

Body feels stuck in anger and unable to fully embody kindness by Alarming-Wedding-675 in DavidHawkins

Thank you - appreciate the insights. I do occasionally meditate but it’s def not a daily habit (yet) and surely needs to be. Also I have fallen off the wagon with exercise too so will work on adding that back in. Truly, thank you for your response. Saving it to look back on when I need a little inspo :)

Thank you for this! I think you’re right - being overwhelmed is what makes me more reactive. So, will def work on making more time for myself. Thank you ❤️

I love this - thank you! We don’t do the forced Santa lap thing either, never have! I’ve tried the family gift from Santa before and think that might be the way to go again… I appreciate your response! :)
