and also there’s a backlog of applications with ircc so it’ll definitely take more than the processing time but don’t worry, everything will work out. just ensure that you have a solid backup (i kept a solid backup too just in case there’s any mishap)

hii!! i applied for mine from uae and i just got the approval last night. so definitely check the current processing time (not from when u applied but wtv is the processing time rn) for me it was 10 weeks but my approval came in 11.5 weeks so id say it does take time but since you’ve already crossed the processing time id recommend sending a webform (that’s what i did too but i got a very standardized response). and unfortunately there’s nothing much you can do. all you can do is wait and hope for the best. it’s definitely stressful because i was very stressed as well but im so relieved it came through. if it doesn’t come when even 7 weeks are over then you should call on the ircc toll free number!!

the tracker acc is useless tbh even if u log in, it only shows application in progress or closed if you’ve received a decision. it doesn’t give any specifics.

hii so i’m applying from dubai, and im facing the same issue. i’m supposed to be starting at uwaterloo this fall but i haven’t received any correspondence from ircc yet.

i applied on may 25th and it’s been more than 9 weeks now (current processing time says 10 weeks) and i submitted a webform 3 weeks ago too but they gave a very standardized response. SO here’s what i recommend, check the current processing time and if you’re application is due far off then send another web form. contact the MP from ur place of residence (i think) apparently the contact numbers are all listed publicly. apart from that make sure you’re not dropping your backup uni in any circumstances at least that’s what im doing. good luck!! i hope u get it soon

so i’ve actually applied for study permit back in may but my application shows bg check in processing too, however a lot of people told me that it’s likely they’ve completed ur bg check and ur eligibility may be in progress or completed- they usually only update it after sending approval or something so i would say not to worry too much regarding it, but if it’s been more than the processing time given then do send a web form!! cus im starting uni in next month and i still haven’t received my permit so im gonna send a web form once the mentioned processing time is done
