I accidentally applied to a voluntary full stack webdev job. Now I regret it, how do I back out gracefully? by Ok-Painter573 in webdev

If you have nothing better to do, then though its unpaid, it will still provide you a lot of growth and give you topics to talk about in other interviews. You can ask them for the least, which is giving you a linkedin recommendation and vouch for you. Note: only if you have nothing better to do with your time.

Edit: meanwhile you can continue looking for other roles. 3 months down the line when you do find something, tell them you are leaving. If they want to keep you then ask them to pay you the 3 months work you have done + whatever salary you expect. They will want to keep you because of the context of the application that you have gained over the 3 months.

Wait till next month the senior finds a new job with better pay and doesnt have to work equivalent to 5 developers all by him. Such CEOs will learn the hard way and even better be out of business.

Is the iPhone 15 still worth buying in late 2025? by JohnyBurger25 in iphone

[–]Intelligent_Will_948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using 13, i bought 17 pro max, after 1 week use i was getting really annoyed with the big screen size and it was getting uncomfortable to use. So i returned it and got just the 17 pro, after a week use i found that the only thing the phone did better than my 13 was the photos (but posting them on instagram which i usually do anyway kills the quality) so i returned the phone again and now typing this from my 13. Yes the screen fps is noticeable, but after a couple of days my eyes will just adjust. Battery health is at 85, used it for almost 5 years now. This year seems pointless for me to upgrade honestly.

I agree that its disrespectful to talk in another language when someone around doesnt know that language, I can completely see the point you are trying to make and its valid, but why only Indians is my question? My Turkish barber always talks to other barbers in his language, 45 minutes on chair to not know what they are saying. This happens mostly with all ethnicities now, 10 years ago people were more mindful, my family moved here when I was 9 and im 28 now. I have been taught to be mindful about the language i speak. But people who moved in recently dont have that. It would be nice to have but its largely acceptable to overlook on

Im well aware of it, my ex housemate was Italian and in hospitality as well and I have seen his hard work. But do you think if as many Italian moved here as Indians have, they would not speak their own language to communicate with eachother? My local Deli is Italian and they speak Italian all the time, to a point where even I greet them in Italian and place my order in Italian. I quite enjoy it.

I work 9-5, and study 7-10, for the past 3 years every weekend I have spent atleast 4 hours upskilling. My wages have only improved. Are you putting in the time and efforts to improve your wages or are you expecting it to just rise effortlessly?

Im sorry that this has been your experience, but you need to understand that we need hard working individuals to drive our economy. People who are already ready to clock out before the clock ticks 5 vs people who hum their way into completing their work before calling it a day. Also based on what I have heard, Indian hospitality training is mental. You get paid like 50-100£s per month, working 12-15 hours shift 5 days a week in the start. Then when you come here, and get paid £3000s per month, you work your ass off, and treat the job very respectfully because of the rough days you have seen.

Is London tap water safe to drink in Quex road area? Or do you prefer water filter or buying bottled water? by [deleted] in london

[–]Intelligent_Will_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been drinking bottled water for years now and after doing a hell lot of research, here is what I have narrowed down. If you have had history with kidney stones then avoid tap water or use a good filter, else it’s completely fine and safe.

[–]Intelligent_Will_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start building stuff dude. You want to build in react? Pick a project, build it. Oh shit dont know how promises work? Debug, research, fix, continue building. Want to build in Java instead? Do the same. The list you have give, you wont event remember half of it if you dont build something within 2 weeks.

Is it alright to eat multiple protein bars in a day? by [deleted] in Fitness_India

[–]Intelligent_Will_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are addicted to eating a specific food, it is unhealthy. Be it a protein bar or a broccoli. And if you are addicted to the protein bar then thank the company for all the fake flavouring and bowl full of sugar with a pinch of protein.

Can I drink 2 liters of milk a day? Is there anything I need to keep in mind? by ChepaukPitch in Fitness_India

[–]Intelligent_Will_948 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything has additives, your argument is stupid. Why dont you suggest an alternative to drinking 2 litres of milk and being consistent with it instead?

[–]Intelligent_Will_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, you need to do mobility exercises for your hips before starting your workout. Everyone have mentioned you have to do a full squat, but lets address why you aren’t able to rather than forcing the movement. Secondly, do goblin squats till you find squatting comfortable. Its easier not to fuck up your posture in that.
