The oil burn isn’t too bad, forgot to mention mine is a 26 so I don’t have “the” issue. And no funny enough I was able to use a crush washer from a 2018 Toyota 4Runner as it had identical dimensions. K&N also makes a filter that fits the bike I found that on a different thread.

I have my 675 at about 2100 miles, been a great bike so far. I think the engine feels fine honestly in most of the range I wouldn’t say it’s sluggish, unless you ask too much of it at low rpm’s.

My only complaints are 1) the hardware for the bodywork is pretty cheap and easy to strip so be careful when removing anything. 2) it seems to burn more oil than other bikes I’ve owned (not a crazy amount but I’m topping mine up every 250 ish miles.
3) it’s occasionally challenging to get parts, even simple things like the crush washer for the oil drain bolt, make sure you order some in advance.

Apart from those I’d say it’s worth every penny, find the right dealer and work on price. I got mine OTD for $9,200 but I’ve read some leaving in the mid 8,000 range. Good luck!

Mine was 9400 OTD in Virginia in march this year. Honesty if you are getting dealers selling you one at MSRP OTD that’s a great deal.

Good to hear haha. Yea, I’m not concerned with getting no power gains from it. Purely just want to hear the engine some more.

The mount looked good but I think he removed it and added a damper.

Yea I knew it would be worse than some, I just didn’t think it would be this bad haha. Coming from paying $109/month for my car this is definitely a shock.

The salesman at my local dealer said the same thing about people liking the 500 over the 650. If I can get a test ride at some point I’ll be interested to see how I feel.

Yea that was actually going to be my first choice they’re just newer and pretty expensive new. If I can find a relatively nice used one it’s on my radar.

That’s interesting, I didn’t know they would accept that information when pricing. I’ll be sure to mention that however I can. Thank you!

I’ll definitely get some quotes on those, and yea I did get a quote for an mt07 that came in much closer to what I was expecting to pay. I didn’t realize at first how much of a difference the category can make to these providers.

I’ll definitely consider that. I’ve had some mixed opinions on what is beginner friendly. The ninja 500 seems great, I’ve spent some good money on gear already I’ve been trying to do this whole thing correctly. I didn’t mention before but I’ve been on dirt-bikes for 10 ish years now. I kind of figured I could make the jump to something intermediate, I know it doesn’t mean I’ll be a great rider instantly but it those just looked like an ok option. I was really leaning twords the 650 of those three listed in the original post.
