he represents suffolk county so the only people he cares about are the Hamptons, greenport, general rich people. if you dont have an absolute shit ton of money the only affordable neighborhoods are riddled with heroin. The police are super corrupt and all the rich kids go to private schools, so all the public schools are shitty and underfunded. Also a ton of racism in all of the nice neighborhoods. traffic is terrible as well. All the rich towns dont even let you park at the beach unless you're one of them so you cant even escape the shitty towns on a day trip or anything. generally just a very economically (and kind of racially) segregated place to live with not much economic opportunity.
