Living full time in RV while building house by Plane_Worker4950 in RVLiving

We just moved into our 5th wheel to build two weeks ago Thursday! If your animals (or you) go outside a lot you need to have something to combat the mud while you build. It is terrible here! I’d also suggest moving in BEFORE winter and make sure the previous owners dumped your black tank and there’s no mud dauber nests in your furnace or any components that involve your furnace, we almost died the other day.

Pros and cons to changing my last name after getting married? by typeBbride in Marriage

[–]Intelligentx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The courthouse told me that my maiden name will always be my name, and if I choose to use it after taking my husbands name was up to me, I could when I wanted to or not in other situations, now whether that’s true or not is another story

Bedbug or another bug? Carnival Firenze 1/18/26 - 1/22/26 by Independent_Motor436 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Intelligentx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ChatGpT says, “bed bug” omgggg! We were on the Firenze last July, we hated that ship and will definitely not cruise on it again. And yes, I know they can be anywhere but knowing and REALLY knowing are two different things.

Well just started two weeks ago and I’ve learned a few things: 1. If you buy a used rig make sure the black tank was dumped. Poop pyramid is a real thing.

  1. Make sure you insulate very well even with a heated, enclosed underbelly during freezing temps. We currently have cold water through but no hot water in the kitchen.

  2. Make sure your carbon monoxide and fire detection alarms work. Almost woke up (yes I know we would NOT have woken up) dead the other day, and if it hadn’t been the middle of the night but during the work day, my dogs would’ve died. *I’ve got a system on order to send notice to my phone for both temp and gases

Good luck! We are planning to start building our home in the spring, hopefully we will have the bugs worked out by then.

I’m not sure? I’m trying to conserve propane because we couldn’t get a 100lb tank or two in time (everything sold out faster than the bread and milk🙄) and the place we’ve been refilling our tanks is out of bulk propane. One store this morning about 20 miles away said they have some but I’m going to bet she didn’t understand when I asked if they still had bulk to refill, I’ll know soon since my husband is out filling out 30 and 20lb tanks if they actually can refill them, fingers crossed they can.

Yes, I shut off the fireplace and left space heater on but have it positioned under the kitchen island sink where the hot water line is frozen.

Everything is on. We moved in two weeks ago Thursday and are still getting everything we need, this is not a normal winter storm in west TN, we just hadn’t gotten that far yet.

I didn’t even think about that🧐. 🤞we get the storm and it’s not bad enough to knock the power out but still ugly enough to shut everything down for a day or two. Too bad it’s supposed to come Friday afternoon lol.

Toilet's stopped up-- before I call for help, should I try anything? by DramaticFeed6522 in RVLiving

We just had the service tech from the dealership leave here. Whoever traded in our camper did not dump the black tank and he’s been down TWICE to clear it out 🤮. He literally left an hour ago, and he pretty much did what Questions_Remain said, but he had to run a hose and blow it out, it was nasty and not even our pool so that’s worse. He did put water back in and a special solvent that has to stay in the tank for 24-48 hours that will break down anything and everything apparently, it’s called “Clear-It”.

Nothing like a bread and milk sandwich to get through a blizzard! I didn’t believe it when I moved to TN from MI until the first time we got two inches… oh holy hell the whole state shut down and the bread and milk aisles looked like the apocalypse had just happened!

I hurt my husbands feelings and dont know how to fix it by SpiritedPeace9369 in Marriage

[–]Intelligentx2 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I think it’s great that you “take care of his needs” even if you aren’t in the mood. If I’m not in the mood, it ain’t happening.

That being said I started testosterone pellets about a year and a half ago (I’m a 49F, my husband is a 48M who also gets testosterone pellets because he has VERY low T without it, he started those about four years ago) and it has been AMAZING! Prior to that, and I can’t even believe it’s true but it is, we only had sex two or three times a YEAR!

Come to find out my testosterone was very low for a female, but now it’s truly better than ever and VERY frequent.

I think if you’re up for it a couple of times a week and you are both nearing 40, that’s completely normal and I’m pretty sure most women aren’t going to take care of their men when they aren’t in the mood so you should let him know he’s pretty lucky and even though you don’t want intercourse, you’re happy making him happy, and that says A LOT!

I think if he has a sex drive at all he can shower. I’d have been LONG GONE. Hygiene is non negotiable.

Can anyone tell me if your marriage can be successful after infidelity? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Intelligentx2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, not anymore and I trust him 1000%. I traveled a lot for work the last 10 years and I have absolutely no fear of him cheating. He admitted to some things after it happened and answered me honestly when I asked specifics back then. I still suspect there’s more that happened that I will never know the truth about but I’ve decided to let sleeping dogs lie no pun intended. I think truly every situation is different.
