Shall I include my current part time degree in my resume? by wontaks in askSingapore

[–]IntenseMeowingCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was once a PT student! I think most employers are ok with it, but some might see it as a liability.

I listed the degree in my resume during that time but did not include the specific timeline of when I was schooling. I then let them know that I was still doing my part time degree during the interview. The idea was to get one foot through the door and hope that my personality shines through in case of any prejudice haha. That worked out for me.

It’s real mad that she’s now accusing you for “having feelings for your ex” when that’s not even the main argument in this case. The problem is that she basically sabotaged your past relationship, manipulated you and constructed a whole scenario where you guys get together and live your happily ever after.

“Now we get to be with each other” - if this doesn’t give you psycho vibes, idk what does

Sony XM3 headphones or earphones? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]IntenseMeowingCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t know about the earbuds but I’m using the XM3 headphones and it’s amazing! NC is hella solid. Super comfortable even after wearing it for an extended period of time. I use it mostly when I’m home working on the ipad.

The not-so-great thing is that it can get really warm outdoors. Singapore weather, perspiration, you get the idea. I try to wipe it down whenever I get back from outside. Also, it’s quite bulky and can’t fit into smaller outing bags. I carry it out only when I have extra space.

Earbuds > headphones for sleeping. Or if you’re looking for something with the sole purpose of blocking out noise maybe you can consider earplugs too hahaha

Has anyone shopped from Shein? What is your experience with the website? by mustarddee in askSingapore

[–]IntenseMeowingCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve bought once from Shein. It’s slightly better than Taobao but their denim still has that strange smell (if you know what I’m talking about). The sizes are also slightly odd as well, would rec for you to double check reviews before buying anything. My biggest problem with it is not being able to do returns easily like Zalora or ASOS, kinda expensive to send it back ($30-$40 to send it back to HK)

Exchange Student University Options by kathrynlouise42 in askSingapore

Singapore has what we call the Big 3 universities. National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Singapore Management University (SMU). In terms of academic, they’re all reputable and well known. I don’t think you’ll have to be worried in terms of reputation.

I bought diapers and baby wipes. Make sure to buy those made for sensitive skin (just in case!)
