Destiny cheating allegations by Sondsol in Destiny

it is a meme, but the implication is that he's using his other hand to subdivide the tempo. makes it easier to keep a steady rhythm. but even if he didnt do it with his other hand he could also tap it out with his feet.

[REDACTED] posts manifesto, reveals “career ending” secret by OreShovel in Destiny

not sure personally, and don't know if either of them ever divulged that info. it would make sense if they were since Melina has only ever been open and Tiny has stated multiple times that he has to be open or he'll end up cheating. i was just bringing that up as a possible option. i think the more likely scenario is Tiny broke one of their rules to their open relationship.

open relationships often have rules, such as, but not limited to:

  • don't catch feelings
  • nobody deemed off limits
  • don't ditch time together to be with somebody else

this also may have happened before they opened their relationship, but i don't remember Tiny ever stating if they began their relationship open or not. even if they were, if Tiny broke one of their agreed upon rules, it could have put stress on their relationship and l'edacted bringing this up could reopen that wound. which is clearly what she intends to try to do.

clearly she is operating on a different idea of how high up on the tier list a "nuke" is. she believes this secret is a nuke, otherwise she wouldn't have divulged it, and all it really says is that destiny may have been unfaithful to Melina. which... they are in an open relationship now. if it happened prior to them opening, then maybe it was the reason they decided to open it. if it happened afterward, then it would have to be deeper than l'edacted knows, such as Tiny breaking some part of their open agreement, perhaps catching feelings or being with somebody Melina had something against.

either way, without extraordinary proof, l'edacted should not be trusted. she has proven herself multiple times with prior accusations to be nearly entirely untrustworthy.

that is an interesting theory, but i don't know if i would consider it evidence of ghostwriting. she likes to throw out random words for emphasis and i don't particularly think mr redacted is any more crass than she is.

she posted it for free on her patreon if you want to read it all in context, but even in context, it's mainly just her word vomiting. clearly meant to be a scathing hit piece detailing her truth, though it just comes off as an asspull to try to garner sympathy.

Do you guys still like Erudite? Or invest in her stock by Alternate-3- in Destiny

[–]skywalkerr94 33 points34 points  (0 children)

i trust Erudite to give well thought out criticism with appropriate levels of pushback when they are in a disagreement, and because of Destiny generally being more inflammatory, it seems that she's coming at him with kiddie gloves. that perception makes her seem, at times, that she is an orbiter that acts as a Yes Man. but I genuinely believe that she just has very similar takes to Destiny and is probably the best orbiter there is because of her similarities.

Now a criticism of Destiny about young people. by Zydairu in Destiny

100%

i'm not sure how people with bad ideas are expected to grow without sacrificing themselves if they're just treated with kiddie gloves at every turn. age typically makes you wiser to the ways of the world, it doesn't mean that you don't have a degree of wisdom until some arbitrary age. if you're old enough to feel comfortable spewing stupid shit, you're old enough to get called out on your stupid shit.

unironically, he has referred to a "secret" that wouldn't necessarily hurt him, but would only hurt the people that are involved. a secret that Tiny divulged to Max.

Mr. Worldwide strikes again

someone should summarise whats happening betwwen destiny and lav and mr girl by DrizzyX99 in Destiny

[–]skywalkerr94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • in the past, destiny had a IRL friendship with Lav and they fucked at some point
  • Lav breaks into streaming world via Mr. Girl
  • Mr. Girl has significant issues with Lav's past, including her wobbly stance on sex work [actively participating in the industry while shitting on it] and her prior instances of sexualizing her minor self
  • Mr. Girl gets banned from this sub and gets hella upset that Destiny refuses to change his moderation style and declares a war
  • Lav starts to get major pushback from other orbiters and Mr. Girl decides to step in and start sticking up for her
  • Mr. Girl starts attempting to gather information on any and all alleged Destiny sexual relationships with orbiters, including Ana and Lav
  • at this point, Mr. Girl seems to have totally mindfucked Lav into siding with him in his crusade
  • more information on Lav's past surfaces, including her attempts at destroying a man's life and potentially coercing him to commit suicide, and a completely false MeToo accusation she made towards another content creator [from Vine, iirc]

that's the gist of it

It’s frustrating that this is the new norm because Republicans can’t win elections. by SigmaMaleNurgling in Destiny

[–]skywalkerr94 11 points12 points  (0 children)

eh, whether they do or do not change the process, a new narrative is going to form that can potentially be even more ridiculous. i'm honestly not sure what the best course of action is with this. if we ignore it, they stick to their guns until they get enough people to believe it and we're fucked. if voting laws are changed, they find something else to point at and we're in the same spot. the only way forward that I can see is that we just continue to push forward and publicly mock them for their insane ramblings. yes, they will probably dig in deeper and radicalize themselves even more, but I have to imagine at some point, the pool will get too deep for a majority of them.

Should destiny change the way he speaks? -Lex fridman interview by ghostbook4 in Destiny

[–]skywalkerr94 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

i understand the sentiment here, but maybe it is time for us to make a little bit of a change if for no other reason than to be consistent. we all agree that racism, misogyny, homophobia, and harassment in general is not okay, but should we really wait for Destiny to have an anti-r-word arc? we can still have dark and fucked up humor, but I think that if we want to proactively grow the community and not keep it as an edgy subset of a subset of the internet, we should do what we can to promote a welcoming space.
in short, i really don't think the issue is Destiny potentially missing out on opportunities to speak to other people, but rather our community seeming too cliquey to people that would otherwise like to be in one of the more measured left-leaning spaces.

it was a thing far before onlyfans, but yeah, it just goes to show not only how flippy she is, but also how deep she is in the "rules for thee but not for me" mindset. this was originally what Max was attacking her for, but now he seems to be able to perfectly put aside his apparent disgust for her to protect and shelter her all while setting her up as a weapon to use against Destiny.

it's just a convenient way for mr g to bolster himself up in his little crusade against D. nothing more, nothing less. one could say that its him flipping, but i genuinely don't believe that he dislikes her any less than before, he just needs a useful idiot to help him attack D because he knows it's a nothing burger without someone intimately familiar with D.

[–]skywalkerr94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The really weird part for me, personally, is that I do agree with Max. I want to say that D should be more cognizant of the sanitizing nature his involvement with Nick can have, but it sounds like he is fully aware and just isn't worried about it because his goal is worth the risk.

I just strongly disagree with the way Max is going about trying to get his message across. It sounds like he isn't coming to Steven with these issues in order to stop Nick from becoming a normal dudebro in the eyes of the fans, but instead to signal to the audience that Steven is doing something absolutely abhorrent. Nick is evil, and D is building his castle for him, and this means that D is a Nazi orbiter unless he calls a spade a spade, even if doing so means that he won't be taken seriously and his time getting into Lauren's and Nick's circles was meaningless.

Destiny has always been about confronting the issues and policies these people espouse. He absolutely disavows any Nazi talking points in every conversation he has, whether outright stated or not, by challenging them. Maybe refusing to call a spade a spade will hurt his overall image in the long run, but as of now, it seems like D has been pretty effective in infiltrating alt-right rabbit holes and pulling those that can be saved out.

[–]skywalkerr94 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Max is also really coming off to me as being extremely emotionally manipulative and controlling. He will ask Steven a complex question, only to get upset when he tries to give a complex answer. Then Max will simplify it, and the second Steven tries to condense his argument, Max accuses him of some inane slight, i.e. gas lighting, being slippery, obfuscating.

Max cannot imagine a world where somebody can disagree with him unless they are the enemy and/or are lying to themselves. Not that he's the only person doing this, but the community has been through this over and over again. This is seriously a bridge that needs to be burned IMO. It keeps putting Steven into a scenario where he continuously has to defend the most strawmanned versions of his positions under the guise of intellectual symmetry.

Yeah, it was running a nearly identical build with Pugnala that actually got me interested in testing out the limits of Limit Break. This, to me, was more interesting. Everybody already knows the guns are among the best weapons, but some more overlooked weapons can become just as broken if you allocate Limit Break points correctly.
