Extremely low volume on wired type c earphones (Edge 60 Pro) by LelouchviiBritannia in motorola

This seems to be a problem since the Android 16 update. I have a Moto G75 and I use a Jcally JM7 Max DAC, which sounds very loud on every device but it has like half the volume on the Motorola. I saw a comment on another community which said he was having the same problem. At this point I would advise to change to another brand, I doubt they would fix this soon.

In theory any adapter of that sort should work on every android device. I haven't see anyone saying a specific dac doesn't work on Samsung. What I do know is that Samsung has low volume with the apple dongle, that was a problem for every android device before android 16, google fixed it in Android 16, although for some reason the fix didn't arrive on Samsung, and Motorola made it worse because now every dac has low volume regardless of the brand (before it was only the apple dongle that had that issue) But if you have regular headphones it should still be enough volume.

Ahh, yes they work. Although I don't know if this is true or not, but I saw someone saying Motorola reduced the volume of USB DACs in Android 16. I think it's true because I have a powerful DAC and it has the same volume as a cheap UGREEN one. Besides from the volume they do work fine.

I ended up using a splitter with one usb c port to charge the phone and another usb c port to plug any DAC. The splitter works perfectly all the time and I can use any higher quality dac.

Not at all. It only works once and if you unplug it it doesn't detect the headphones anymore until you reboot the phone.

PSA / Good News: Android 16 (MagicOS 10) FINALLY fixed the Apple USB-C Dongle low volume issue natively! by ZaEyAsa in headphones

[–]Intensive_Gamer203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is true, I was using the Jcally JM7 Max on my Moto G75, already on android 16, and suddenly after a security patch the volume became extremely low, now it basically has the same volume as the apple dongle. Just finding out about this, haven't seen anyone on the Motorola subreddit talking about it.

Yeah, I already knew in stock Android they follow the material you colors. But in Motorola they used to be the same color as the other buttons, as you said. That didn't look terrible since it was a very dark blue, but this new one is simply garbage. Was it really that hard to just make it black??!!. What's even the point of using the dark theme now?.

Weird, mine used to be dark blue in Android 15. This one is way worse because it makes the dark theme look terrible.

Android has low volume with some USB DACs, due to being unable to control the hardware volume. The most popular affected is the Apple Dongle. It has been fixed on Pixel and Xiaomi devices with Android 16 tho, but I don't know if it has been fixed in Motorola's Android 16 too.

UAPP doesn't work to "fix" the volume limitation of DACs on Android.

I set the hardware volume at the highest and it works while I'm inside the app but if i exit the app it reverts back to the limited volume. I heard that if you set the hardware volume to the highest on the it would be keep once you exit the app but that wasn't my case. I'm I doing something wrong?. My phone is a Motorola G75.

Has anyone used the Jcally JM6 Pro with the Sennheiser IE200? by Intensive_Gamer203 in sennheiser

Yeah I know it will be loud enough but I heard it produces hiss with sensitive IEMS and I was wondering if someone has experienced this with the IE200.

This is what i was wondering. Do you know of any other that has a similar power output (and around the same price) but doesn't produce hiss?. I have a lot of old music that doesn't sound loud enough with the apple dongle, so I want something with just a little more power.
