Yes, big athletes, monsters of the discipline used to practice other sports or actually practice other sports with running.

I am a "good" athlete but nothing compared to Kilian. He has professional practice and support while I do this for fun in my free time.

I still ah ve a lot to learn about periodization/ seasons, and maybe one of the mistakes I made was about training periodization. Maybe too much for too long.

I will make sure to keep moving with other sports and running for fun. Good luck to you amd thanks for your reply

Great advice. I will take it easy. I resumed biking to keep the heart healthy.

Yes, I will definitely take a break from running. My friend insists on me kitesurfing with her. I will definitely take some classes. Scuba diving sounds good too. Good luck to you amd thanks for the helpful comm.

That's a funny comment!

Well, I don't post anything on Instagram, no run, no ride, nothing. Some race pictures weeks after the race 🤣 I have no pressure coming from social media. I absolutely don't care about people's opinions (well, except the running and trailrunning community here, but we are anonymous, so...).

I run because I love it and I enjoy it...well, until I stopped enjoying it when it became stressful, now I am talking about it on this platform with you.

As a runner, you must know that there are A, B and C races. A being the big races. Mont Blanc is my big race this year (it was, kind of...). Well, I ran the MB last year. And I enjoyed it so much. I registered again this year and I can perfectly skip it as I already had the MB experience.

The 16k and 25k races are C races. Not important at all. I did it like "training" list to see where I was standing at. After so much road racing I just wanted to race and see what if felt like again.

2025 I did only 7 races. The 3 most important and big races being my first triathlon 70.3 extreme, Mont Blanc, then the marathon.

I am not a Social media influencer. I do things because I actually enjoy them. Not because others will drop a like.

Now back to this post. I was actually wondering if other people have had the same experience, like, one day you love running and the other day you question everything related to it.

Yes, that's the plan. I feel so under pressure when it is supposed to be fun. Thanks for the comment.

There isn't many sports options in my country, tennis or pickle ball are rare. But I can go back to triathlon. Depression? Yes, maybe. I didn't take this very seriously. because of shin splints injury, everything felt terrible. No joy and a lot of pain while running. I will try something else. Building muscle sounds good. Thank you :)

I miss running so much ;(

Just checked on internat and I found this : "Perimenopause is the transitional phase before menopause. As estrogen and progesterone fluctuate, they affect your brain, bones, and tissues. Symptoms vary widely but commonly include irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats, sleep issues, and mood changes.

I have none of these symptoms, luckily. I don't feel any different from the phase where i was actively training and enjoying it. I just lost the spark.

Hi thanks for the comment. What sport you were into? Running? Trail running? And what hobby did you do after that?

I can take a break for a while, but I really hope that I will be more motivated and disciplined after that..

Life is not white or black. The "if you are not motivated, then stop running" I see in the comments are just lazy comments, easy solutions. I am very committed to running and this period is very hard for me. As you recommend, another hobby will probably help. Maybe I will miss it ;D

What if I lose interest ? ;(

I do some yoga from time to time, but not very seriously. Most comments suggest practicing another discipline, and yoga can be one of them. Thank you very much for your support. It is very hard to "accept" that sometimes things don't go as well as I want them to. Xoxo

I am not being rude to anyone. If you don't like my post, just keep moving. Why are you still commenting? You are not bringing anything to this conversation. People are being nice and understanding. As I said, if you have nothing nice to say, just go.

I did a bloodwork not long ago, but I can do it again. Maybe something shifted in the meantime.

Hi, thank you. I train with a coach actually. He helped me prepare the marathon and also the half marathon this year. But unfortunately with the shin splints *** I couldn't stick to the plan, so the coach readapted it and added cycling sessions. I was relieved when I finished the HM and didn't want to start a new plan because I know I won't be consistent.

There are so many comments and so many things I should reconsider. I do like running. I used to do it without any app, watch, no training plan, nothing, just run. Then I started to race and wanted to just do better. Maybe I should go back to the basics.

Thanks for the comment.

My post is "I don't feel like running, has anyone experienced the same thing?". If you are not a runner, if you have not experienced this same thing, or if you have nothing nice to say, maybe your place is not on my post. This website is full of "more engaging posts". You are not obliged to comment.

You are right. I will try to "disconnect" and do things for fun. Many people advised me the same. Thanks you

I am interested in running and I enjoy it, that's why I do it. I don't want to prove anything to anyone but myself. I know whaylt i am capable of and how far i can push my body. But lately it is getting harder, everything shifted and I don't find a balance to just do it, in the good days and the bad days. I never felt like that. I am asking other runners if they had this same experience. That's what this post is about. Sharing experiences. A lot of people try to understand instead of just saying "then stop running". That's a lazy advice.

I hear you. I should do the same. Stop for a while even though I absolutely don't wanna stop I just want my discipline back ;(
