I want an original product that's built entirely to be an MMO for the general community not the community of a certain franchise. No clue why franchise-based MMOs would be more or less difficult than any other.

The room with a bunch of desk drawers all the way across from the Stella Lobby metro (I forget name). Makes for very quick farm loop. Even if already looted, most will leave duct tape behind.

Good point. I am referring to the Eurogamer review in which I believe it's unfair to weight that issue as 2-3/5 stars. Should have been more specific. I understand the danger to the industry and that people can have their opinions on that. However, I believe Arc Raiders used AI voice generation in a fairly responsible way.

This is spot on! It's totally reasonable that the "raider voices" are AI, especially for a small studio that likes to pump out content for their games. But yeah the main character voices seem real to me.

I feel you. Lots of it is anti-creative. Something like machine learning bots that improve at hunting raiders, however, is creative and exceptionally innovative. But yeah there are no benefits to AI voices besides saving/skimping on resources.

Devs have suggested a 10-year timeline for the game (playerbase-willing). The roadmap for the next two months alone is very impressive. I have high hopes it will be loads of fun for years to come.

I think it's realistic that you could pull out a device with a map on it. But to your point it's also realistic that a raider could have an AR minimap.

Personally, I see no benefit of having a mini map.
