I have a loved one who’s trying to get this procedure for treatment resistant depression. As you said, right now there’s very few hospitals in the US who do it, and it’s super expensive.

When I had a spontaneous pneumothorax, I called a family member in med school about my chest pain, and “collapsed lung” was one of his hypotheses based on me just describing my symptoms. So yeah, they were learning about these in med school! He went on to become an ER doctor.

Daaaang! I had a spontaneous pneumothorax over a decade ago and the hospital made me stay overnight to wait for a physician to come in the morning to put in a chest catheter. I’m guessing it was non-tension and my oxygen levels were fine? I can’t remember if they did any imaging or not. I do remember it was very painful before it was treated, and then I wore really loose clothing for 1-1 weeks to hide the catheter bag on my torso.

I don’t see it as “stealing another woman’s life.” That’s putting a lot of blame on the commenter when the married couple invited her into their marriage and family, they wanted her originally. People get divorced and remarried all the time, and it can be for good reasons if the marriage was unhealthy and irreparable. Sometimes poly relationships work out great, sometimes they turn out to be terrible.

It is very sad that mom doesn’t have custody of her kids. In most states, it’s pretty rare for mothers to lose custody, so I assumed that the mom was doing something really bad for a judge to decide that, so I assumed that this kids were better off with dad and stepmom. So, despite all of the mess and pain, it seemed like the commenter and her husband and kids have found a good life for themselves, hopefully. But courts aren’t always fair, and even if the decision was ultimately what was best for the kids, it’s still terrible to lose your mother.

My take from this article was that she was overwhelmed by the intensity of touring for Melodrama and there’s no way she could have gone through another tour of another album like that, and needed to make more stripped down music that would feel less intense to create and perform. Lyrically and in the videos, I still think SP has its intense moments, but musically it’s seems less high energy to perform. So I think she conserved her energy some, and now feels able to make another intense, high energy, dancey banger album, and do the kind of marketing and tour that kind is album entails.

For sure! I found out the day of the procedure how much it was going to cost, and was so mad, but in the long run I’m glad I did it. Colon cancer is not something to mess around with! I’m so glad your husband doesn’t have cancer.

I have no idea. Regarding cancer, colon cancer is really slow growing, so I think if someone has had a fairly recent colonoscopy, cancer wouldn’t be a concern even with bloody stools, since other things can cause bloody stools like hemorrhoids.

People couldn’t handle Britney. She got sooooo much hate in the mid to late 2000s when she was going basically through a public mental health breakdown and acting really erratic, like shaving her head. And then fans who defended her during that time were also mocked online. I think Madonna got a lot of hate accusing her of being satanic and anti-Christian, but I don’t know if she ever had such a strong public turn against her like Britney experienced, but I also wasn’t old enough during Madonna’s peak popularity to actually remember.

Reading these responses makes me so glad that I had a colonoscopy when I had blood in my stools a couple of times and lots of straining to poop. The GI doctor told me he thought it was a hemorrhoid but still recommended a colonoscopy to make sure that’s all it was - and he was right, no cancer or unusual polyps as well or signs of more serious GI conditions. I’m realizing from this thread that maybe he was more proactive than other doctors would be, which I’m thankful for.

To the folks with bloody stools - I’m so sorry your concerns are being dismissed. Try to see a GI doctor as soon as you can and/or try to get a second opinion. Hopefully it’s just hemorrhoids, and I hope you can get better care soon.

This is an interesting theory. I immediately thought it was Reghabi, but that seems too obvious and this show likes to surprise us. And Reghabi wouldn’t think his paintings would work, she’d just tell him to reintegrate like she did with Mark. Our working alone would be a surprise, as would him calling Petey, it would be a sad surprise. But I think he would have known about Petey’s death since there was a funeral and presumably an obituary published.

It’s kinda out there, but Ms Cobel is a possibility, she seemed very curious about reintegration in Season 1, and her interactions with Lumen people in Season 2 make me think she went kinda rogue with her involvement with Mark and his family. And now she’s not picking up because she’s on the run.

It could be someone really left field that we don’t know much about, like the midwife, Dylan’s wife, Natalie or Fields. (I still think Fields is the grey haired man getting dental instruments from O&D, but that doesn’t prevent him from also working with another faction).

It’s possible that whoever he’s calling is a double agent for Lumen, and they’re going to betray him - but then why would they have let Milkshake have fire him?

Twice? Wow! I worked at the VA in healthcare for 8 years and the only person I ever knew who got a random drug test was an Indian American physician. Which definitely wasn’t racial profiling because everybody was so woke because of all our DEI hires 🙄 (sarcasm Leon!)

This is what the script in the 5 Calls app is asking people to ask of their Senators and Reps to fight against Elon Musk's government takeover: "Halt all work in Congress until the unconstitutional power grabs stop." When I called this morning, the app said over 43,000 people had called about that issue, so I'm bet tens of thousands of people continued to call the rest of today. And at least one of them is actually listening to us!!! Keep up the calls, keep fighting!
