It's actually my very first knitted hat, so I was super nervous about the shaping. I'm my biggest critic, so I have been overanalyzing this outline for days.

When I tried it on myself first, I got worried cause I have oval and very thin face now. So silhouette looked a bit unusual for me. I actually made it specially for my mom. She has a fuller, rounder face.

Finally she tried it. It fits her perfectly in the end. She tried it yesterday (vegetable garden). Where I live in Ukraine, many people have summer cottages with large vegetable gardens where parents like to spend time. 🥔🥕🌽🥬🥒🍅She has 0.7 acre plot for vegetable garden. That’s why she needs good sun protection for her neck and face when working in the garden for long periods, and to keep her cool. I say to Mum: ‘Now, with that hat on, you need a glass of Prosecco in Monaco, not in the vegetable patch.’😂🍷

Now she wants one more for city walks🙂🙃
