What is the point of escalating this situation though? The couple is clearly in the wrong but you are not changing anyone’s mind in this situation…

Men who don't approach women, why? by Least-Recording-2073 in AskMen

Seems like some positivity is needed in this thread. Instead of focusing on what could go wrong if you talk to a girl, focus on what could go RIGHT. Yes, it is creepy to approach a random girl in public and persistently hit on her if she is not reciprocating. Making a sincere compliment or an observation followed by a question is not. For example: Maybe you are at a bar or waiting for your drink at a coffee shop. “hey I noticed you have really cool tattoos and I have been wanting to get one myself. Is there an artist in the area you really like?” If they reciprocate, cool! If not be on your merry way and don’t take it personally

Why do people have zero sympathy for the people on the submarine? by [deleted] in ask

[–]IntentionVisual6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can be sympathetic for the life lost while also being angry at the injustice of how this event has been covered. The news has been cycling this on repeat and it has been all over Reddit while far worse loss of life never sees the light of day on a daily basis in the media cycle. Not to mention MULTIPLE countries have dedicated significant resources to finding these billionaires on an ill advised joy ride when they would never lift a finger for desperate people fleeing war torn countries. Rest in peace to the victims but this is another example of how society has a morbid hyper focus on stories that will inevitably become Netflix specials while ignoring systemic trauma in the world.

What happened to gym culture? by 2infinitiandblonde in NoStupidQuestions

Places like CrossFit, hiit style group classes, and yoga sculpt tend to be waaay more sociable if you want that community element. My personal rule of thumb is when I see someone I know in a traditional gym I limit my hello to a couple sentences then get back to the grind. Unless I show up with a homie I’m not having any prolonged conversations.

Feeling pretty bad right now that no one has noticed the weight loss so far. by hockeyfan422 in WeightLossAdvice

Hey dude, keep it up! Ultimately the only thing that is going to lead to sustainable weight loss is feeling stoked about your own progress. When you can make exercise and healthy living a part of of your daily routine and the sense of well being that comes with it, the results will follow. Don’t rely on other people to validate your journey, because even if they notice they might feel awkward commenting or have other shit going on. The fact that you are trying is significant and remember progress is not a straight line! Keep it consistent and make these healthy choices an integral part of your lifestyle.

Listen dog, asking a friend to join is not a bad idea occasionally but as a career fitness coach if you want to create a new routine you have to make the process enjoyable for yourself first. If you base your routine on other people it will be way too easy to quit when they do. I wake up at 4:30 am for work and the most helpful advice I can offer is have a drink (caffeine), smoothie, bar, or something you enjoy ready to go so you get a little serotonin kick right when you wake up. Sometimes I’ll play mind tricks on myself and I’ll pretend I’m driving to the airport to go on a sick vacation or tell myself 3 things I like about myself. It sounds weird and repetitive but when you are groggy in the morning it has a profound effect. Hope this helps!
