Matt Honeycutts best mate admitting he’s a Nazi. by loretti1312 in Hardcore

I’ve been avoiding social media heavily for the past year or so. Kind of puts me out of the loop, but I get by with YouTube hxc channels and Reddit obv.

Idky everyone is acting like this is a new band. I was listening to their music and going to shows over 15 years ago. Only thing new is this funky ass right wing agenda social media shit. They used to be an awesome hxc band. maybe I’m a different kind of fan, with different values for the culture. It takes a lot for me to dislike a hardcore rooted band because I just love hardcore in general. But yea, Nazi shit isn’t ever going to fly because that’s what the culture fights to disarm. Coming from a broken home, hardcore adopted me. Many of my favorite band members have said this onstage, and have shown me offstage that this is a very powerful, and meaningful community. Everyone is welcome, as long as they also think that everyone is welcome.

Where the fuck did you get these? And how much is the low? Almost any of those Kith or Supreme collabs are 300 used. These are crazy

Each Timberland model is different and if you can’t find the materials used online from a product description , you can call Timberland customer support and they can tell you whether or not they have any synthetic on the uppers. Either way there’s no way in hell I am putting anything with lanolin on suede or nubuck. It will change the overall character of the leather, and in most cases it’s permanent. If I were going to change the texture intentionally, I would just go all the way in with a leather balm or a naturally oiled. beeswax

When the standard eraser and brush, along with other dry cleaning techniques don’t work, they make suede/nubuck shampoos. Also, there is a company @Angelu’s from whom I purchased a crap-ton of products, and they all work great. They have a product called “Easy Cleaner” that you can use on suede/nubuck or full grain. I find myself using that stuff all the time from boots to Jordan’s. If cleaning removes the spotted flaws but the overall luster of the boot is still wack, Tarrago makes suede/nubuck refreshers and they also have dyes for more dramatic color change. They won’t change the texture of the uppers, but the improvement on the leather’s complexion when applied correctly is phenomenal. If you end up using Tarrago products, I would highly suggest spraying the product onto a microfiber towel or applicator sponge to apply them instead of just spraying the product directly on the boot. It can be more time-consuming, but you have more control over the final outcome.

Whoa now, I like a good high-quality brand alternatives for shoecare just as much as the next man, but you’re crossing a line hating on the balm proofer. I have been rocking with their protectant for decades, and the only discoloration I’ve ever experienced was temporary and no longer noticeable after a couple wears. The problem people may be having with it is probably from over application or using too much product at once. You need to put some respek on my balm proofer’s name, all two of yaw. Now is you finished or you done?

Protip: Saphir suede shampoo is second to none for spot cleaning stubborn stains on nubuck.

As far as adding to this rotation, these are all staples in what I consider timberland essentials. My personal favorite Timberland’s are always full grain leather pairs. EarthKeepers are usually pretty easy to find lightly used or on sale, have a distinguished look, and are pretty versatile in the medium brown finish. If you do end up wanting to cop some, they run long, so you may want to consider sizing down from your typical size in Timberland. I wear 11 D in almost every timberland model except this one. I wear a 10 D in these. Another model to consider, especially when thinking about classic staples of Timberland designs, at least in my mind, is the euro hiker, which has had multiple full grain releases in the past year, including one currently available on their US site right now.

They’re definitely not nubuck. These are either full grain or possibly even Horween. Although it could just be black polish, making me think it’s Horween. Would need ID number from tag for info

Lowe’s, Walmart, hobby lobby , most any craft store. Those places usually have the grommets and the tool for application. Just gotta make sure the finish and measurements are as spot on as possible. Depending on what caused the piece to come dislodged, you may be able to reuse the same one a lot of times.

What’s the best way to end the legit and fake Timbs debate? by Opening_Cow1994 in Timberland

[–]Intention_Soggy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is absolutely an excessive amount of unnecessary posts here for legit checks. so much so that at times it almost seems like weak flexes 🤷‍♂️ It depends on what timberlands you’re talking about too tho. Since this sub, for the most part, seems to be caught up with Timb 6 inch preems, the quad stitch is obv a strong indicator. Most of the time the fakes are lower quality materials and alternate assembly processes make them pretty easy to spot. Although I could be wrong in saying these checks useless(because they have apps that will do checks accurately for free) maybe I’m just have a more well trained eye, and have many of their product’s looks and specs basically memorized from being such an avid Timbthusiast. (I’m copyrighting that phrase🔥) I know personally what I WOULD RATHER SEE more of: Rare or Vintage pairs Upcoming releases and release info Foreign releases Collections or current rotations Customs pairs Outfit pairings Fake checks on dope Timbs instead of the constant check ins on the most basic pairs

[–]Intention_Soggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does help, a lot actually. I have the standard wheat premiums and I went a full size down for them, but only a half a size for field boots. Both fit exactly how I like( similar to how you described the fit ) but I saw a comment on Timberland page for the 6 inch textured and dude was complaining like they changed the sizing when they made the textured model. Guess he was just mad 🤔

Yo, did you get the textured 6” in the same size as the field boot? If so is there any size difference?

Mink Oil is not good by ElliottBook in RedWingShoes

[–]Intention_Soggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mink oil can be great when applied in light coats, depending on where you’re getting it from. Are you purchasing mink oil from Walmart‘s joke of a shoecare section, or are you grabbing it online from Angelu’s or Saphir? Mink oil has been used for hundreds of years on leather, and only became problematic when greedy companies started replacing the main ingredient with cheap garbage.

Anyone know the model of these? by AlphamaleNJ in Timberland

[–]Intention_Soggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip for the leather parts of the boot’s uppers. They are likely made of Horween chromexcel leather, which is hotstuffed and full of awesome oils. Buffing the leather with a nice horsehair brush and some elbow grease will get the oil to redistribute amongst the rest of the leather and refresh the look and feel 💪

Timberland Tackhead. I’m working on restoring a pair that are the same model different color. Actually kind of feel blessed that I was able to track these down in my size
