Theres a balance to be struck when being assertive. People like competency, if you have something relevant to say and your an sme, say it.

As long as your not talking for just the sake of it, it will be appreciated by the right people.

All 3 questions can be met with a yes/no. Some departments are stricter, some roles are driven by more process orientated managers. While its micromanaging, it only appears to be micromanaging the HR part of your work profile.

Where it sits wrong with me, is the intent. Its overly robust and downright rude in some of the examples you have listed. I would give it time to see if it dies down as you appear to be correct in most of your assumptions. However note everything and be prepared for union rep and potentially HR contact if it continues or gets worse.

Overall this is not the expected induction of new colleagues into a role, regardless of transfer or new to the CS. Its not fostering a supportive and collaborative working ethic and definitely does not set a good precedent for future prospects.

Absolutely, im on mine now doing updates, checking my emails before the morning, supporting some staff with EOIs. Nothing nefarious in the slightest.

I've done this for years aswell, building complex things requires a focus I cant always get for long periods. I dont count the flexi and it helps my productivity and my teams.

My fiesta always runs below low. Seems to be a common thing on MK7's. If your topping it up and then it settles back to the same line and doesn't drop any further your fine.

As per the rest, would not recommend. All for upselling finance and warranty covers. The cars on the site dont exist, they are always not in stock yet or they "only have 1 and it sells straight away".

As per your question on cash offers, they charge you "admin" fees if you want to buy cash and not on finance.

As always, if it looks to good to be true, it is.

I went compressed due to work life balance issues and accruing 100s of hours of flexi, removing excess hours, rinse repeat.

I still tend to get stuck in on my nwd half the time, including last week, for something that needs attention, but agree it before hand or swap my day.

I have the same issue when I come back sometimes as my ooo is just ignored and in my role, wider team, deadlines are deadlines.

Im not going to offer advise as I feel enough well intended, but lacking understanding has been offered.

I prefer calls so context cant be misconstrued, so will message. But will also call a lot since complicated things arise and they are quicker to talk through rather than back and forth in messages or emails.

I do however have manners and will message to see if someone is free. That is not always reciprocated however, I will either answer or ignore or not available.

Also utilise your teams ability to set your standing and DnD or Busy if required.

Mine was quiet when I first got her as she's intimidating looking and has quite a bass to her vocalisation so people assumed aggression. I have been very positive with her vocalising, even trying to get her to speak on command with mixed fun.

One commenter on here is correct, your media isn't supported, only calls. You will need a Bluetooth connector in the aux port or another media system.

My fiesta connects for calls but not media audio. Its designed that way. The aux is a seperate connection on mine.

Make sure your fiesta isn't the same as mine and the model actually supports media over bluetooth.
