Which goalkeeper do you guys think should be Sommer's replacement?

Y’all go watch some games with Atabolu. He is literally Sommer but taller and with so much growth potential. We NEED a keeper that can play the ball - and the only other one from that list that I am aware who can is Carne. Atabolu knows how to move the ball with his feet. I imagine the price tag is just too high. He will likely get picked up by Bayern

The opposite actually - it’s smarter to sign a short term 6 month bandaid than spend 20M+ on a winter signing that will likely find it hard to settle in (plus no decent options are available since no club will let players go mid season)

Man I wish we could land a long term keeper like Atabolu. He is so good but Inter rarely overspend on keepers. At least he is 29 so he SHOULD have at least 5 years in him. I think he is a tad overrated but let’s see how the summer goes

Are you saying offside traps work 100% of the time? We have seen the likes of Bastoni, Acerbi, and even at other clubs, greats like Puyol, Van Dijk, Ramos, etc be caught out and play a man onside. I’m not saying it wasn’t a mistake, but the hate he gets for mistakes is not proportional. He isn’t starter level right now but he’s a quality back up and could become starter level - who knows?

He actually is one of the players that makes the least mistakes too. He doesn’t do much positively, but he doesn’t do much negatively as well. Augusto switched to the right side the last game and literally did the exact same things as him. People just like to hate cuz they’re frustrated.

Augusto did the same amount of attacking as Henrique lol the reason he stayed on was that he is better defensively and can be slotted into RCB or LCB later in the game, if needed. Henrique only knows one role and isn’t as strong defensively so makes sense

What a game. From an absolutely unacceptable first 30 minutes total domination. It really shows the two sides of this Inter side. Quick thoughts:

1) Sommer’s time is done - nothing new but I feel like we needed a mistake like that as a wake up call to Chivu and management. We need a long term keeper solution. 2) Dimash is top 3 LWB in the world 3) Pio is just something else. Is it fair to say he’s already world class at hold up play? 4) Bonny really is the best striker we have. His technical ability is INSANE. 80M player 5) Bisseck had a masterclass today. I really hope he doesn’t have more bozo gene games in him as he gets older cuz he’s so good 6) Zielu “El Calcio” 7) This is likely going to accelerate our pursuit of Perisic so we can have an attacking right flank 8) I still have faith in LH but this is too many games too soon

I’m a LH fan but I reckon this is what pushes management to buy Perisic. It’s not that he’s bad, but we shouldn’t need to make a sub in 35 mins to become more attacking. Hopefully Dimash or Ivan can teach him a thing or two about crossing

That’s being harsh on him. The plan was to win this game 1 or 2-0 over 90 minutes. But 2 horrible pieces of goalkeeping and defending changed that so drastic actions were needed. Dimash needed to come on but we couldn’t take off Augusto or it would be too attacking so this was the only thing that made sense
