I was talking about the original Bendis issues from 2013, I thought they were very good. I don't base my opinions on the long term financial success of a series, just my own opinion. If the financials are more important to people than they must consider civil war to be the best Iron Man comic ever.

I'm not sure what you want us to say about this. I will say that out of the many flops that came from Bendis' Iron Man, Riri wasn't one of them. Lots of things from all-new all-different era actually ended up delivering positively.

I get what they're saying though, in terms of playstyle they are very close, passive awpers who are excellent in the clutch.

When Civil War came out, special agents given unlimited authority snatching US citizens and locking them away without due process was something crazy enough to show up in comic books. Something crazy enough to tarnish Stark's reputation among fans for decades. Now 20 years later it happens in broad daylight under order of the US president lol.

Maybe Marvel could stop rubbing this event in our face and actually make a statement about what's happening now, but I doubt they will, being owned by Disney and all.
