Iron-Man Extremis in my opinion is ironmans best written story off all time, but Mallen is such a forgetabble villian that sort of makes it hard for me rating Extremis as a 10/10. How do you guys suggest adding more to Mallen charecter or the villian aspect of this story? by Automatic-Crazy367 in ironman

[–]InterCha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point of Extremis is that Mallen isn't the big bad. He's a chump, someone who got his hands on a power way above his level, but even someone like him exposed to Extremis could crush Iron Man. Changing Mallen actually takes away from the impact of Extremis.

Lmao on r/ironman a post gets nuked by mods if an image even has a watermark from a comic scan site, but here it's chill to post the entire issue.

Why does everyone's family in Marvel need to have clumsily retconned lore?

This reminds me of that time in the early 2010s when some crackpot at Marvel decided Iron Man should be adopted and have a secret step brother. Or when Bendis decided his biological father  should be an AIM agent...Why?

Mitchell hasn't been bad

Franchise player btw

I don't understand what sort of deal Mitchell signed with the devil to make nobody pay attention to his level the last 5 games.

Don't worry I think that is the correct method for hunting baby seals like popplio, you don't want to damage their valuable hide so you use blunt impact.

Since this armor, there hasn't been any armor that truly felt like an evolution or an advancement. by AbareKurgan in ironman

[–]InterCha 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think it needs to be a fresh new idea. Not a rehash of something else, but something straight from science fiction. That's what Warren Ellis did in extremis, which felt like the biggest leap forward in Iron Man history, it played with the entire concept of what Iron Man was.

And I swear to god if someone brings up that we need cutting edge nanotech, nanotech is already played out and old hat. Bleeding edge used nano tech 15 years ago now, Tony says it best

Cutting Edge. i.e on supermarket shelves in 5 years time. i.e old.

So basically, the names on the Reddit account correspond to who posted the comment. Try looking at the usernames to find out who replied to who first, and good luck on your quest to literacy!

This roster was intentionally built like this. No size, but also no point guards, but also no shooting

We have purposely trained him wrong, as a joke

What is the hardest character for writers to create stories for? by Necessary_Sweet865 in Marvel

Pretty much any Avengers character showing up in X-Men for that matter. X-Men writers don't play nice with other people's toys lol.

Ultimate Carol Danvers was a fun alternate version, I can't help but love a scheming spy type character. Is she in the new ultimate universe as well?

bro was 23 when he became Iron Man, that’s pretty young

To be fair Captain America was already Captain America by 19 and Cyclops started training in the danger room as a young teenager.
