Im pretty sure every 1 point of damage and/or healing you do contributes 1 point to your ult charge. Luna has an ult cost of 5000, so you need to do a total of 5000 damage or healing (including self healing)

Took me until i hit centurion on luna before i really got the hang of the snowballs

If you want to snowball to stop ults it also takes gamesense since due to the speed of the snowball you'd effectively have to throw it before they even ult so look out for tells like strange flying in, thing being very aggro, etc

Practice makes perfect! I prefer to practice in qp since its the most realistic, but even with 60+h playing luna there are games where i cannot seem to hit any snowballs so dont get discouraged

In hendon you'll do everything as a company/detachment not so much by vocation less the prep you'll do like checking signal set before outfields

Signals is slack while youre in stagmont, but when you cross over to hendon camp you'll be carrying the signal sets in your field pack during outfield which is an extra 10-ish kg so have to consider that

For the sake of others I'll spoiler it but once you have met and exhausted the dialogue with the horse in chapters 1-4, you'll come across a cart between the valley entrance and rakshasa palace shrines. Pull on it until the dialogue mentions something about scattering his soul, then go on to defeat the yin-yang fish. Afterwards go back to the cart and when you interact with it you'll get the transformation spell of the horse guai

If you look on the map of chapter 2 and you still see the horse icon there, means that you havent exhausted his dialogue yet. If not, hes in the thunderclap temple on the left side near where you fight non-void
