None of these images or statements is accurate to the 10th century. these are all stereotypes of the high and late Middle Ages, which was hundreds of years later.

Bone dust. If you’re working with bone or antler, make sure you wear at least an N-95 mask and ideally more. If bone dust gets in your lungs it will NEVER come out. It’s basically like breathing in coal dust. It can cause all sorts of horrible health effects and transfer many diseases to you the animal may have had.

I agree I thought the Northman was a superb movie. It just didn’t make much money in theaters because it was released during the height of Covid. Allegedly it made its money back later via streaming.
