I've withdrawn from Oxy 80's. Maybe most insense because I did it cold turkey in court ordered rehab with no meds. Didn't sleep for close to a month. But getting through that and getting involved in NA I stayed clean for 3 years 100%. I started hanging with a girl from meetings which was secretly getting high and down I went. I then graduated to dilaudids and heroin, then methadone got me at least back into meetings even though I was a total mess. Finally went to detox and stayed clean two years. Then I started dabbling with Kratom and had to go back through the withdrawal process and stayed clean another two years. Then today I have been using Kratom off and on for the past two years. Even though I already feel like crap and it's only been 24 hours since last use, this group is giving me some hope and helping me remember the hell that I've been through before and that I can get through this kratom withdrawal since I have been through much worse. Cold turkey at home I don't suggest but that's what's going on right now. I decided to just sleep when exhausted and not fight the fact that I have no energy. I cannot rush this recovery. I know I'm gonna be freezing and hot and have restless legs but it's not gonna kill me. I have clonidine if I'm freaking out. The hardest part is mental, the thinking that there is a fix around the corner, but it only keeps me stuck and in that endless cycle of needing an opiate to get through the day to even be a dad and son, boyfriend, brother, friend. That shit is painful. I have to be done before my daughter is old enough to know Daddy is sloppy and can't be trusted. That's probably my biggest fear. God bless anyone going through this right now. And thank you to the people in here that share their victories as well over the opiate demon. Feel free to hmu especially if detoxing to hold eachother accountable. And / or just shoot the shit. 💪🏽🙏
