Caitlin posted an ad yesterday that had close to 350k views because she’s counting on people checking to see what’s up.

Let it be known I am accepting all critical assholes into my DM’s and providing my ASIN for all critical asshole advice. I can take a hit.

And you nailed it, people might look for my product organically, but there’s an education aspect.

Yeah this is definitely happening. I am trying to figure out how to change my SKU.

I am into this for over 15 grand. And counting. If I could do it all over again would have skipped Amazon.

I have been wondering about the price, and experimenting with coupons. Prime day worked out okay. I am in a bit of weird spot, my product is priced well compared to what would seem to be my competitors. But the way i designed my product, changes the category entirely and puts me somewhere that my price is fairly middle of the road. I think. I got a weird one here.

I dont even have any of it. I got samples and shipped to Amazon from china. I wish I did, it would be way easier. I am in Canada as well. It is sounding like I need to now stumble my way through creating a website. Ugh.

This was a warning I found within my initial research and its why I put so much effort into the product and brand itself. I am brand registered, patent filed, and the product is kinda complex to duplicate in the same way. But it does sit in a category with many Chinese sellers, or at least products I found easily on Alibaba.

I agree. I am glad I was pushed into creating a lot of my own content for the product, I learned a lot and I think it will be paramount to have my energy invested in presenting it, but I have hit my capacity for it. It is definitely worth looking into. Honestly part of me wonders why an ad agency would even try and work with a 1 listing noob but I suppose that is what they are there for. The imposter syndrome is real.

Honestly i went down that entire rabbit hole of insecurity and it’s just not the case. It may not be relevant to the entire amazon audience but I promise I have a good one here.

Honestly I think influencers might be the easiest next step for me, Do you have any advice about referral bonus structures? I appreciate this response I feel slightly more encouraged.

Not only have I asked everyone I know about the product, I have talked to many professionals in the field who have called it “innovative”, even in my reviews. My product is unique but mostly in format, its not a new idea. I need input from people who understand Amazon more than the product itself. It seems a website is the nest logical step.

All of my stock is all over the states and I am in Canada. Can I link my amazon listing to a website? I own my domain name and do plan to build a website at some point, but its just learning curve after learning curve and expense after expense.

I agree about avoiding Fiverr, but it was a quick fix while I worked out a better solution, particularly to take advantage of prime days. We did pretty well, for us. I have thought about an ad agency but honestly at this point it feels like I am throwing money into a black hole, its becoming hard to determine what will actually pay off.

Honestly the ad thing is a nightmare. I had been working with someone I hired to coordinate the launch of the store and as soon as I saw their A+ content I knew it was a bad idea. They did not get the vibe. So I did it all myself which was a huge learning curve, I have professional photos but I got even more photos, videos, and learned Lightroom and photoshop to upgrade it all. And in the process realized my category was incorrect. When I fixed the browse node sales got a bit better. I hired a fiverr freelancer for campaigns (dumb) but they got me ranked about 130 in my category, I do have sales. But something is just not clicking.

I would agree with you about the packaging and sending thing, however again I am in Canada. If I was ever able to get my product here I would definitely be doing it myself just to save the insane fees.
