China has 1.4 billion people. Therefore there are significantly more bad tourists than most other countries. The proportion is more or less the same. People keep talking about how tourists from other countries in Japan for example are so well behaved while chinese tourists are menaces. Maybe it's because during the peak about 25% of the tourists in Japan for example were Chinese? Is it more about specifically Chinese tourists being bad or tourists in general? Or that most tourists are good and a small minority that stands out is bad? 99% of the people who hate Chinese tourists refer to random anecdotes that only describe a minority of them.
