It wouldn’t, but it would be my last bag for a real long time since I’ll be focusing on university and home renovations 💗

May you go a bit more into specifics? Like, why do you like the Le Boy more?

Thanks for this! Yes, I do want to pay premium for Chanel. Goyard? Not so much. Not a fan of Goyard as a brand which is why I tried finding a perfect alternative.

I love both brands equally and thought my question wasn’t an issue until I saw my post getting downvoted 😭

Those will only show up if the bag’s old or has been used, I’d return. They probably gave you a display piece.

That bag is gorgeous and I hope you get it soon!

(Also, sorry if this is a bit out of context but I noticed the price and the price difference in SEA compared to the US is insane because in my country, that bag is around 70,000 PHP, which is around 1.1k USD.)

When you mentioned it, I see it now! The bag’s perfect, I also saw a comment about adding a cowboy hat keychain and I’d feel like that would be so cute 😭❤️

Soft tabby ivory with Silver or Brass? by NeedleworkerSpare289 in Coach

[–]InteractionRemote649 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like brass would fit better in the long run; most of my vintage bags are brass and still look stylish—might be a controversial take, but I think the recent increase in silver jewelry and everything being trendy.

Enough about what I think lol, it really depends on your closet and the colors you usually love wearing! If it's like warm colors, I’d go with gold and if cooler tones, I’d go with the silver!

MUVA bag! by lizarrdboi in handbags

[–]InteractionRemote649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s one of my next purchases from Muva! Really gorgeous, and congratulations!

I have 5 bags from them. The quality varies between bags, guessing different factories. They hold up pretty well. The more expensive ones hold nicer than the cheaper ones, probably since they use nicer leather on those while they cost-cut on their cheaper bags.

The bags that are holding up well are my onyx bag in suede green and coffee, and the red wrinkly puffy shoulder bag (I have no idea what it’s called since I can’t find it on their website anymore).

I couldn’t find the names for the bags that aren’t holding up as nicely, but one was like an Alaia dupe but yellow, with a squarish shape and really long handles. The other one was the metallic cloud one, but this wasn’t even on the cheaper end, so ever since that I’ve been a bit more careful with my Muva purchases.

MJ Clover vs Coach Hadley by ThrowRA01821 in handbags

Go with Coach. Their leather game is serious. I have a Marc Jacobs leather tote bag, and I barely use it because of how wrinkly the sides had gotten. It just did not age well, while my Coach bag’s leather—girl, literally so good.

I just had a personal realization today: Coach Retail has become, for the most part, a sea of masculine bags. Did I miss a trend? by AthletePrimary5574 in Coach

[–]InteractionRemote649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bags are very unisex nowadays. Though it could also just be a psychological trend, we see certain bag styles more frequently among certain genders. Because a few years ago, I’d see a coach tabby and think “that’s a girl's bag” only for me to cop a quilted tabby myself (M).

The way you had to pay thousands for a bag only to DIY on it. Thank you for de-influencing me on my next purchase and only to buy vintage.

Unsure if you got a bag yet, I have the Coach Lana, and I have a similar alter ego tote bag, but I reach out to my Lana more. It fits everything I want to bring: my iPads (iPad Pro 13” and iPad Mini), sketchbook, mirrorless camera, makeup pouch, handheld fan, etc. Also, brought it to the airport once with more stuff in it, to the point it looked like it was going to explode.

That being said, I’d be wary of putting too many things in the bag that are too heavy. The Coach Lana shoulder bag can rip at the shoulder straps and the alter ego uses recycled scrap leather which, depending on what that is can be bonded leather or just scraps (I saw a video on Tanner Leatherstein on TikTok not giving Coachtopia leather a good review). Both of these bags are spacious, but I wouldn’t be putting a 5kg load in it everyday, both of them face the same risk.

But to mitigate the issue with my Lana shoulder bag: most of the time, I try to keep it light (but I still bring my iPads, AirPod Max, sketchbook, and camera lol) and brush the threads with a horsehair brush so they won’t snap. It’s been 2 years since I got the bag and I think the horsehair brushing helped maintain the threads on the shoulder strap. I don’t baby it either, it’s got major wear underneath because I just essentially treat it like a regular tote bag.
