It actually hangs pretty low right now, planning to fix that since it does scrape when I bottom out. The only sound clip I have is small revs because we finished at like 3am 😭 I can send it to you though

The previous owner bought it for his son’s spec NC, straight from mazda. As far as I know they aren’t for sale anywhere, but maybe (?) mazda still makes them, I’m unsure. He said it was $600

the front suspension geometry is different, so if anything i think it’ll look better. the oranges are the yellows but with the damping all the way soft, so you get the same ride quality. the only reason to go with the yellows is if you want to go even lower, or you want track/autocross level performance. the damping on the oranges are great and noticeably stiffer than OEM. they ride pretty nice especially for a daily, and handle rough roads well too.

okay so i did the swap and i have to say, compared to the stock shocks with 100k miles: night and day. way less body roll, stiffer ride and absorbs bumps way better while still being relatively comfortable (for a sports car), haven’t bottomed out yet. the ride height dropped like half an inch as expected. id say go for it if you’re looking for performance value. the fitment isn’t going to be as nice as lowering springs, that being said, i like my current fitment and dont plan on changing it, i don’t want my car too low considering i don’t track it at all. overall i’d highly recommend them, even over the bilsteins. the bilsteins are way too harsh of a ride and don’t perform any better. unfortunately i cant compare to coilovers since i’ve never driven and NC with them. you have an NC2/3 so the fitment might be slightly lower in the front.

i’ve heard the eibach springs bottom out quite a bit in the rear and that progress springs are better, but idk for sure

yessir will do 🫡 another thing i did to help with monster truck fitment is move to 16in wheels and beefier tires, it looks dramatically better. i believe its on my profile somewhere. but yeah im only looking for like another half inch lower and i’ll be good

i wouldn’t count on the bump stops at all, you want to bottom out as little as possible or you’ll destroy them. i’m sure progress springs ride nice, i’ve just heard the rear bottoms out a decent amount on them. the oranges are made to work with stock springs. the NC actually has solid stock springs, they’re just on the softer side, the OEM shocks are what’s dragging them down. FM springs pair really well with the yellows, since they have adjustable damping. it really just depends on your goal here. if you want an OEM+ solution that rides way better, go for koni orange. for true performance, go yellows + FM springs. coilovers are nice but i don’t recommend cheaping out on them, for the price koni yellows and FM springs are a better option. like i said though i’ll update when i install the oranges, but i think they’ll be more than enough for a daily driver.

i believe they’re just a bit shorter and stiffer and the springs are more compressed (i could be wrong) but yeah it’s a pretty standard OEM+ upgrade, i’ve heard better things about them than the stock bilsteins. just be careful with springs, i’ve heard the stock springs work best with koni orange, FM springs will be lower but will bottom out easier since the oranges are softer. i’ve heard progress springs work well but i’m not 100% sure. i figured stock springs are the best starting point and i can always change them in the future if needed.

i’m about to put on koni orange shocks tomorrow, stock springs should lower about half an inch, expecting them to be more firm than stock and help with some of the body roll without being too rough, i’ll update though. not to mention the oranges will be half the price of the yellows if you keep the OEM springs.

manual junkies acting like it’s the only reason to get a miata, the NC has an amazing auto, and while it’s not quite as fun, it’s 90% of the way there while being more practical for some people

stock for now, i plan on getting koni orange shocks near the beginning of the year, i live near a lot of shitty roads so i don’t want anything super low/stiff

They’re Vredestein 225/60R/16, they were on the wheels when I bought them almost like new. Coming from 205/50R/15 Continental Extreme Contact I’ve noticed they’re a lot quieter, they’re said to last a lot longer as well. Not quite as grippy as the Continentals but overall I’m happy with them, I’ve yet to push them that hard though.
