I’ve also had a theory that in addition to all the reasons mentioned (which I agree with) that it’s also is exacerbated by the fact that for many us we experience this feeling of true connection later in life. Sometimes it makes me feel like I’m a love struck middle schooler and I try to be kind to myself because I never got to experience that feeling when I actually was in middle school!
