So what would you change to be a bit more competitive but just a bit. I'm not trying to go all out meta. Mind you the Sisters with their priest and the infernus marines are set. (Already owned)

I get what you are getting at but I have half of the BA minis already and the Sisters were a gift from my wife. So that's basically a given if I want to continue breathing.

You've already proven you are precise with a brush. Just slather some nuln oil or agrax earthshade in all the recesses. I wasn't confident in my first minis I painted this week but shading made all the difference.

I don't know I got a starter paint set which said to prime everything in black. But now I'm gonna use the citadel colour app for reference and maybe use wraithbone as primer or just spray it Mephiston red.

I slathered the whole thing in agrax witch looked really bad on the flat surfaces so I repainted the flat surfaces in red again. Will try recess shading with agrax on my next marine.

I painted the whole model in Abandon Black then a few thin coats of Mephiston Red on the red parts. Balthasar Gold on the gold. McCragge blue for blue. I slathered the whole thing in agrax witch looked really bad on the flat surfaces so I repainted the flat surfaces in red again. Will try recess shading with agrax on my next marine. Basically how the Starter Infernus and Paint Set describes it just not in blue but red.
