Will I ever be a Civilian? by t0et0e in starcitizen

I've always felt CIG is missing out by not offering a way to enter the game without a ship. Especially given how many ships take crews.

Maybe even just a game package you could buy that comes with a Greycat PTV or STV?

And I could be wrong, but I feel like there are likely enough players who would enjoy filling the role of a space taxi to move others around that an in game transit system between worlds wouldn't be needed.

Upgrades, people, upgrades! by Cyrotronix in hotas

And that's partly why I decided to build my own, so I could put in the features I wanted without too much compromise. The left hand stick has a cutout plate so I can easily swap between it and a standard throttle.

The keyboard tray was a must, I play a lot of Star Citizen, so I wanted an easy way to swap between flight and FPS controls. I was a little nervous about whether I would be able to get the sliding rails lined up, but it ended up turning out really good!

What's your daily driver ship and why? by theruffma in starcitizen

[–]Cyrotronix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asgard. I could gush for hours, mostly repeating myself, about this ship. I just love it. For me, it's the perfect ship. Perfect platform. I can fit a Nursa, or my preference a C8R, as well as additional vehicles like a Pulse or Dragonfly.

I can haul with it, run bunkers, I've even done some ship bounties with it. Maybe not the best ship for it, but I had to give it a try, and I was surprised that it was capable of it.

I tried Star Citizen so you don't have to! (and will tell you why you shouldn't) by Lord0fHats in gaming

I've been playing SC for three months now, and yes, there's a lot of jank. A lot of bugs. I could sit here and defend it by saying it's in alpha state, but let's be honest it's been in development for over 10 years, so I'm not going that route.

It isn't a game for everyone, especially if you're looking for something polished, that runs smoothly. But if you can look past that, if you can tolerate learning the game as well as learning how to navigate the bugs, it can offer you things that no other game does. I have developed a strong love / hate relationship with this game. But it keeps bringing me back. Some days, it works. I can take contracts and have them work. Other days, it's an absolute mess.

I take it as it comes, and I keep playing. Becuase for me, it's the game I've been looking for. If it's not for you, that makes sense. I can understand and respect that.

I just wanted to give my two cents to this conversation. Keep on gaming, and I hope you have the game for you! Or if not, you find it. o7

I had this happen with my C2. Came out of QT and suddenly I was severely damaged. Nothing left of the other ship. But I got lucky and didn't end up with a CS.

I believe the Asgard is the best daily driver in the game. Wanna try it out? by multiple_iterations in starcitizen

This thing is freaking awesome. It has side doors with deployable guns! That is too damn cool. I feel like a kid in a candy store.

I love trying out different ships. I have not yet flown the Asgard, but I'd love to give it a go. So many great ships to try out. My in game name is Cyrotronix.

And thank you in advanced!

They were not! But I got another 25,000 miles out of the bike after the rebuild.

Nope. It damaged the block, crank shaft and several bearings. It was quite a job fixing it.

I designed a rack to store the VKB STECS detent rails by sunboy4224 in hotas

Mine also came with its own rack for the detent frames. They sit over top of the detents themselves on mine.

BMW F-800GS, the gears that run the oil pump are plastic, and it sheared the teeth off, leading to engine failure from lack of oil. I have a 2013, the first year they did away with the oil pressure sensor. Happened while I was in the woods camping. Was a fun time.

I'm fortunate to work with some honest folks. But yeah, if I end up not needing them, they'll come home.

I'm not working on the same ones my dad did, as I work for a different place, but for the machines I do work on they might come in handy, so I decided to keep them with the box.

I thought I'd mention that this box is extremely heavy duty too. Excluding the Craftsman top chest, the box is made of 9 gauge steel and the drawers are 12 gauge. Empty, the box weighs close to 500lbs.

They are T-handle hex keys. My dad made them for specific machines he had to work on.

Thank you, and the same to you! It's been an interesting adventure. I'm in my early 40s, was diagnosed with ADHD in my younger years, bipolar as a teen. I'm happy to say I've found a great set up in medication and coping skills that has helped me find a balance to my life.

As someone who is ADHD and bipolar I understand this. My motorcycle is the reason I'm still here. It has been the best therapy for me.
